𝒈𝒆𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆.

Mirela pulled her best bood face, “Tell me who are these people, and I’ll make sure they will be dealt with next time they step in here”, she kept the serious face for a moment and then laughed, “Jokes apart, I’m sorry you missed this meeting, was is very important?”, she questioned. At her offering, Mirela hesitated, remembering something about pregnant woman being careful with seafood, “Sure”, she said, making mental notes to follow the doctor’s instructions as she made her pick.

a grin broke out on her face at the response she gets, brows raising before she shakes her head. “no, it’s just my idiot coworker i’m supposed to work with on a publicity plan with. if you ever see me come in with a redheaded man with no fashion sense, spit in his food.” she teased, brightening once more when mirela accepted her invitation. “great. my shout then.” now that she thinks about it, she doesn’t know why she didn’t hang out with mirela more. sure they were several years apart growing up, but they were both aunts, both fun, and she was always open to gaining closer friends. 

          HIS  LAUGHTER  IS  soft ,  chest  that  is  too  warm  and  full .  it’s  far  too  hard  to  describe  happiness ,  but  this  moment  could  serve  as  pretty  great  example  of  what  that  feels  like .  ❛  i  don’t  know  about  that .  they  could  just  switch  to  chinese ,  give  us  another  day  or  so .  ❜  their  kids  —  all  four  of  them  — is  all  that  is  missing  to  make  it  perfect .  his  arms  tighten  around  her  without  much  thought ,  the  idea  of  getting  back  to  their  lives  and  and  the  kids ,  and  leaving  this  moment  behind  too  much .  ❛  sam  donovan ,  are  you  threatening  to  kidnap  me ?  ❜  the  teasing  tone  pushes  a  smirk  on  his  face .  ❛  because  i  would  not  be  opposed  to  that .  ❜  make  it  a  month  and  he  would’t  mind ;  better  yet ,  make  it  their  whole  lifetime .  but  they  can’t  do  it ,  not  until  he  has  a  conversation  that  is  as  needed  as  it  is  scary .  ❛  i’ve  been  thinking .  ❜  knuckles  brush  against  her  skin ,  movement  slow  and  tender .  they  haven’t  talked  about  when  to  tell  the  truth  to  their  kids  and  he  knows  it  would  mean  partly  giving  up  on  these  moments  that  are  just  theirs ,  but  arthur  also  knows  he  won’t  be  able  to  go  for  much  longer  without  this  being  his  new  normal .  ❛  if  we  tell  them ,  we  won’t  need  to  escape  just  to  be  together  anymore .  ❜  he  keeps  her  eyes  on  her ,  wanting  to  get  her  reaction .  ❛  maybe  we  should  start  to  think  about  that .  ❜  

“well i hope so, don’t want to be a lightweight for the rest of my life.”josie commented, although she was never really bothered about drinking. a nod of her head, she was glad that her and scarlet agreed on one thing, drinking was overrated. “i just don’t get why the boys like it so much.”

“if it makes you feel any better, i really can’t drink more than three drinks without heavily feeling it.”  she enjoyed it from time to time, though it’s been a long while since she’s been drunk. she hasn’t gotten to that point since the night tali was conceived. “they’re more used to it than we are, i guess. apparently it gets easier to rebound from the more often you drink.”

“ that’s what the hope is.” nessa beams, worse comes to worse she had been looking for a place of her own– they’d only have to deal with the little puppy for a little while. “ i was thinking solo, or ripley. i can’t decide which one i like more.. what do you think ? “

soo-min contemplates rejecting the offer. refusing help in it’s various forms had become like a reflex response. but lately, burning her bridges in the name of maintaining pride, seemed less appealing. not with the judgement of the entire town sitting upon her shoulders. “uh…” min takes a sharp inhale, raking back her hair with both hands, “okay.”

she smiles softer once min accepts the offer. even with their history, scarlet had never been the kind of person who could turn down a person in need of help. it wasn’t anything in her nature even if comforting her ex wasn’t at the top of her list of things to do. “come on.” she offers out both her hands to the other woman. “there’s no judgement from me. you don’t have to talk about it.”

“ oh trust me i won’t forget.” soft laughter falls from vera’s lips, as she moves to pour some into the glass for sam and then moving back towards her seat. “ right.“ she should have known it’d raise questions but with her current condition ? drinking was out of the question. “ you see.. i can’t really drink. not right now at least.” she begins knowing that her friend would find out one way or another. “ absolutely, sometimes it’s just nice to stay at home and just relax.”

he watches her clutch her daughter and he offers a smile, hopes he doesn’t come across as anything other than friendly. that’s the last thing he wants. when she smiles, he does too. “ you teach there ? ” he asks, his smile widens. there’s his own hope growing in his chest and he nods, probably a little too eagerly. “ if you don’t mind. that’d be a help. “ 

it’s far too late, katie is already more than excited– and is hoping that the maybe would turn into a for sure yes.“ the best decisions are the ones not thought about ! “ she somehow further encourages. “ absolutely and puppies are so cute, we also get the full experience. we don’t get that with an adult dog.”

to say cameron was on edge would be putting it lightly. since his conversation with valeria, ending with him being persuaded to stay for at least a little while longer, he had become hyper aware of everything he did that could possibly be traced. he used his phone and credit cards as little as possible, used a vpn for his laptop and even considered buying a new car again before realising that was a little excessive (although he had spotted many cars he wouldn’t mind owning). thankfully, while sat on a bench in the park on a nice day with a good book in his hand, he managed to find a moment of relief. that moment instantly got better when he heard an approaching voice call out to him. “hey, scarlet, fancy meeting you here.” he wanted to slap himself with his own damn book.

rye had an unusual smile settled across his face that night. despite the family issue still bouncing around in his head, he couldn’t battle the expression of at least slight happiness - it was a look so uncommon that most of his co-workers had stopped him to ask what had happened. he always gave them a vague answer before swanning off to wipe down tables and collect empty glasses. at the moment, he stood behind the bar, serving the woman sat on a stool the other side.”here you go!” even his voice held a little less heaviness to it than usual, less bitterness as he smiled at the customer. “celebrating something or just needing an overpriced drink?”

isadora and scarlet had never been close in high school, running with vastly different crowds over the three years. but as an adult, dora seemed to become less averse to entertaining conversations outside the comfort of her circle. as long as they weren’t a bore. she leans backwards into the soft cushioning of the cafe chair that stretched around the table, dinner style. “i’m looking forward to when i don’t have to wake up at 4am every single day to groom and tack up a horse.” an amused huff of hair ensues, “it’s not doing me any favours in the eye-bag department.” 

“you’re like, a mum, right?” despite dating leo, isadora knew very little about leo’s family other than his parents. she can’t quite remember the name of the child. tia? talia? something along those lines. dora had occasionally seen her with either parent, but isadora had never stopped to enquire about the baby. infants tended to be sticky and cry a lot. 

truthfully, she hadn’t paid a whole lot of attention to most social circles in high school. if she hadn’t of been friends with leo since early childhood, she likely wouldn’t have had a social life at all.  given dora was already four years above her, she hadn’t known her then, only really knowing of her through her family name and the fact that she and leo had some weird thing going on. “that’s really cool that you get to work with horses, though. are you a jockey?” she seemed small enough, that was for sure.

It was a beautiful day, and Mirela decided to pass by the family’s yatch club. She had to decide if she’s going to sail or not, but for now she just wanted to enjoy the lake view. She didn’t want to bother her brother, or anyone else from her family. In fact, she needed some time to be by herself, and perhaps starting the sketch of a plan for her future, even though she wasn’t one to make those plans. She was easily distracted by someone caught in her eyeview, looking a bit lost, “Hey, you need any help?”, she asked them. 

she was mad. while yes, she found herself often running late to everything, she still hated it when people cancelled their plans together just because things had to be shifted around. she half expected her company to be kidding about cancelling their drinks, but alas, she was wrong. “only if you can get people to be more understanding when you’re running late.” she teases, brows rising before falling once more. “want to come split a seafood platter with me instead?”

“I swear, my professor is trying to scare us all off before we even start,” Micah groaned, his backpack weighed down heavily by the textbook he was forced to lug around. He swore you could beat a bear off with that thing. “I mean, I guess they want to weed out the week early on, but still. It is almost like he hates freshman… a freshman vendetta.” Though, to be fair, a good number of his classmates had been texting through class, chatting with each other, or otherwise being obnoxious, which was enough to make anyone’s blood boil. “Enough about me - how was your day?”

exhaustion is clear on her own face as she sits back in the chair, a day of dancing catching up with her body. powell university certainly had a good reputation, and the program they had there for ballet was good for now, but she always came home exhausted. “that sucks that your professor is being an ass.” she frowns. “if it makes you feel any better, i think my teacher gives us condition when we’re already tired just to make us suffer.” she sighs quietly before a smile breaks through. it would make her a better dancer at least. “my day was good. kind of exhausting, though. i might try and squeeze in a nap after this before i go pick tali up from her dad’s.”

katie is just as surprised at the answer. she half-thought it’d be more difficult than this, but she also wasn’t going to complain. or say anything to jinx it, or have her aunt sam regret the answer. but the smile from ear to ear, shows how happy she is with that.“ i think that sounds fair.“ as she slowly nods her head in agreement. “ i was thinking a dog or maybe a cat. but i do happen to know someone who has puppies.”

“ i’ll try to remember that.” vera returns momentarily with the bottle of wine, a glass and of course something to snack on. not all that bothered that she couldn’t enjoy it herself, not when she could enjoy the company.“ i never seen it coming, but i think i’m becoming a homebody.” it earns soft but warm laughter nonetheless that falls from her lips.“ who would have thought ? “
