Since ive quit my job ive made a list of all the wonderful things I am going to do with my free time this month :)

I think ive been blessed to have such amazing teammates and mangers but I got a real taste of the slimeball corporate world over the last 2 years. The pure evil, money hungry, sociopathic tendancies that are required to "make it big" in these big companies. I am happy to make less and work less if it means I get to keep my morals and values alive. If I stayed longer I would be selling my soul for money and that is a slow process that eats away at you piece by piece and if you don't check yourself, you dont even think that it's wrong. Giving my body and mind for money has literally made me look and feel like a hideous monster. These people who only take and work people into the ground without empathy or remorse, that's the only way to get stupid rich in these environments. You basically have to give up your humanity, and as much as people can say that, it's really excruciating seeing it with your own eyes.

Gave my 2 weeks with no job lined up and I couldnt be happier for my future. I cannot wait to get out of this hellscape. I look at my laptop and think "wow.....next weekend this wont be my responsibility anymore". Especially in my industry where things never end, complaints never stop... there are many reasons I'm leaving but to think I stuck it out for 2 years after the initial gut feeling really says a lot about me. I know now I should have left sooner and I'm paying the price for complacency. All I can tell myself now is lesson learned. We should all be following out dreams fr......fck the system..

One thing I love about getting older is becoming less neurotic and not simply through the passive act of aging but having more opportunities and corrective experiences that makes everything feel more doable...I feel like my life is defined by slow and steady growth with all the best still yet to come.
