It's lingered heavy on his shoulders, settled like bricks on his head, and every weary step he’s been taking, the past few months, has sunk him further and further into the ground, the weight on him so seemingly physical that dressing in the morning has been a frequently completed impossible task. Everything feels impossible, and yet it is done, because it has to be, because the world doesn’t stop for one dead person, no matter how much you cry about it. Lydia will have to learn this soon.
