Ok, peeps. Here’s the plan. I don’t like leaving things unfinished, so I’m going to work on getting my WIPs completed (if the story is complete) or up to date with the fic (if it is one of the ongoing series of basically one-shots).

First up, two small one-shots for the ‘ink your name’ verse. Both recorded and should be able to post within the next week.

Next, now that the author has finished ‘and your very flesh shall be a great poem’, I’ll work on finishing the podfic for it. She took a break. I took a break. She’s completed it. My turn. :)

Either parallel with that, or after that, I’ll work on ‘The JHC Coda’ sequence of one-shots (in one of my very favorite series, the one that got me started on podficcing in the first place).

No current commitments for anything past that, but not saying I’ll never record more, either.

So I was doing some recording tonight. I have a new cat since last I did any serious recording. Mid-way through, cat wanders into my room and communicates vociferously. ‘Nono, there’s no MEOWING in podficcing!’. She jumps on the bed, wanders over for some pets. Gets some pets. ‘Nono, there’s no purring in podficcing, either!!’ Had to wait until she was bored and wandered off again before I could continue. Sweet girl. 14 year old rescue cat, who was dropped off because she had ‘bathroom issues’, though the writeup also said ‘they weren’t sure if it was really her or another cat they had that had the bathroom issues’. Good grief. Anyway, she’s happy with me.

Alright, my sweets, next up is getting the podfic for “Let Us Beware”, written by the glorious @prettyvk, up to date.

I have all 7 chapters recorded and edited (they are short), and they’ll be going up tonight. First new one is already up on SoundCloud and Dropbox (links accessible via AO3).

A lovely way to wake this morning, someone bought me a cup of coffee! (ko-fi). That hasn’t happened in quite a while.

I’ve now posted 7 chapters of “The Grating Roar” in the last 2 weeks (almost 9 hours of finished recordings). 4 chapters left and it is done!

*settles down happily to work on editing the next chapter*

Negative comments are not super motivating. sigh.

I wish your days are getting better, i just saw you post, I'm sorry for your loss, these are tough times :( I had my doubts if should i say sth or not, i hope that nice words about your work can help a little :) I just found your killing eve podfic, and OMG that was so GOOD, you just made my day (yep, i couldnt help but to listen it at once xD) Villanelle's accent was so cute, but what caught my attention was Eve a lot of times i thought that was actually Sandra Oh, you really nailed it!

Thank you for your kind thoughts and positive feedback about the “Professional Boundaries” podfic. I greatly enjoyed doing it (such fun characters), though as you could probably tell by my chapter comments, I’m pretty insecure about my ability to do accents. Glad they passed muster. :)

Just wanted to let you know that I just finished your Killing Eve Podfic Professional Boundaries and I really loved it. I know you made it a long time ago but I still wanted to let you know!! I was planning on listening to it slowly to survive till season 4 airs, but yeeahh that didn't exactly work out as I finished in about 4 days oops. Anyways I hope you're doing well in these trying times and yeahh just know that your work is appreciated :)

Hi peeps. I’m still alive. Sorry for the hiatus on posting new chapters of my podfics. I realize that I am atrociously behind. My spare brain cycles have been very wrapped up in dealing with this wretched virus situation and I’ve been coping by doing things like sewing face masks and 3D printing face shields for medical personnel instead of recording/editing. Also. My dad died. It sucks. I promise I will finish things. I cannot commit to a timeframe.
