I saw your sona and had to draw them the moment I saw them, BECAUSE OMG I LOVE LUCA?? but yeah aside from that, this is just an excuse to gush about how inspiring your art is- it was SUCH a boost I needed getting to see all of your vat7k animatics and art, and it made me so much more excited to keep making vat7k stuff of my own!! you have such an eye for analysis when it comes to characters, and you definitely played one of the biggest roles when I started getting SO excited thinking about character dynamics within the show. I’m gonna be real here—It is seriously insane knowing that my work actually like. affects people and has an impact on individuals. I’m so indifferent to my work which is probably why I’ve been hating art so much recently. I don’t see talent or worth within anything I create so it’s mind boggling to know that there are people out there who see something worth noticing in what I draw. Art is such a diverse and abstract concept and it’s hard to find meaning in it. It makes my heart happy knowing that people find meaning in my creations. I’m very pleased to know that you get excited and inspired by media and that it drives YOU to also wanting to create. That’s such a magical thing and it should be cherished and loved!

Varian committed his crimes and by the time he was arrested he did not regret what he'd done. He continued threatening them even after he was defeated. Rapunzel didn't trust him not to hurt anyone again so he was sent to prison. The second Varian gained her trust back he was set free and that was that. No one tried to send him back after Rapunzel was able to trust him again.

Cass had already regained Rapunzel's trust which is why she wasn't imprisoned. Cass actually did the exact same thing that Varian had done in the beginning of season three.

They both took over Corona while being manipulated by someone older and stronger than them and then they helped Rapunzel defeat that person.

The only reason Varian was imprisoned and Cass wasn't is because the timeline was different. Varian didn't regret what he'd done until after that year in prison and Cass regretted it immediately.

If Cass hadn't helped Rapunzel defeat Zahn Tiri and she continued fighting against her after her defeat then she also would have gone to prison.

Oh and Rapunzel's trust is the same reason Eugene wasn't imprisoned for the crimes he committed too. He did an awful lot of thievery and even attacked the queens caravan that one time and he never faced consequences for any of that.
