"....no, of course not! we already paid for this... so we should stick it out until the end? at least we're with a group," ara says, as if this is going to ease bada right about now. of course it wasn't the guide's first rodeo and they really got them all 'into the mood' with the story telling. talk about truly getting their money's worth. however, they've only been to one of the locations and now they were headed towards the second location in the list of places on the agenda. surely, it was too soon to go.
"it's okay, don't even worry about it. we decided to come together, so i won't let you go alone or stay alone, alright?" ara was familiar with how bada and she would get, especially in the depths of spooky celebrations. she did no better during a horror movie so she has no idea what possessed them to participate in this.
"but if you still want to bail out halfway, i'm down. technically we have the receipts and some pictures that said we did do this... but then we won't get that "completion photo" at the end of it all..."
โyouโre right,โ bada concedes with a sigh. โitโd be a waste of money. plus,โ she looks around, subtly observing the others in the group. โeveryone else would think we chickened out,โ a short burst of laughter leaves her lips. โand we canโt let that happen!โ
โbut you better not leave my side!โ
they continue to walk for a moment in silence before their tour guide halts, signaling they were at their next stop. a tall building looms over them and bada listens intently as the man at the front explains whatโs spooky about what theyโre looking at.
โwait, what did he just say?โ bada whispers to ara trying to convince herself that she didnโt just hear their tour guide confess that ghost sightings for this particular building go back hundreds of years. โdonโt ghosts like โฆ go away? eventually? what if theyโre looking for revenge? or have turned evil and want to hurt us?โ
