Making SSO Actively Worse One Idea At A Time

Hello SSOblr! Based on and inspired by @badfrideas, here’s a place to submit ideas that would make SSO actively worse!

They introduce differently coloured fireflies to Hollow Woods, and the new fireflies chase you and take your light if they catch you

sso adds steam support and all that implies (tracking your playtime and making it public, notifying steam friends you're playing star stable online, public game reviews and how positive or negative they are overall, workshop horses...?)

Spoilers for the main story past Anne's Rescue:

if your horse gets to the lowest mood and stays that way for at least a week, it dies and is completely erased from your home stable. if you want it back, you have to re-buy it.

They make Lisa pop-punk again however fashion her after Marylin Manson

they update elizabeth’s model, but reveal it in a quest that you can do regardless of your main story progress

You can only complete one championship a week and once you do complete a championship your horses mood goes from Happy to Extremely Sad immediately and you have to wait 5 weeks before you can use the horse again for any championship

You can date in sso now! But only if you reach Admired reputation faction with a group. However the only dateable people are Jamie Olivetree and Ricky Winterwell but they never reintegrate the Dailys they have once you reach liked with Ricky and Popular with Jamie. So you can never actually date them.

They use AI to create new tack and horses

They yessify Evergray to be younger and less like an old man just like they’ve yessified Justin and Shibby Tim

They make a mini version of the updated Bruce as a running pet for the summer event. It flops around miserably if you take it out of your saddle bag, desperate for water. It's also named Baby Shark in an attempt to be hip with the kids

they add gifting!!! except only im allowed to do it because only i can be trusted to put a package in the mail and send it to my friend so they can have the saddle they want. no one else. just me.

star stable becomes a truly multiplayer game. you can run around by yourself but to interact with anything you must be in a group

There’s a new mechanic that gives your horses the possibility to hate you. You have a relationship bar with all your horses and it lowers anytime you crash into a wall with them, leave them in their stall with uncomfortable tack on or leave them to rot in the pasture for too long. They legitimately start to hate you and will disobey your commands. You can rebuild your relationship with them, but it’s a lengthy process.

pretty much just reverse racing rewards, if you get the worst time, they take your shillings, if you have no shillings, you go into the negatives

SSE adds a way to get star coins for free, but it's by watching ads. you get 10 star coins per ad, and they're as unregulated as tumblr's ads, meaning you'll get ads for anything from childrens toys, to craft beer ads, to nursing home advertisements
