The Thumper (Pistris saevus) is a terrifyingly aggressive, carnivorous indoor entity in Lethal Company that belongs to the shark family. Visually bizarre, it features a beige, rubbery cartilaginous torso, a shark-like head wrapped in multiple secondary mouths, and a complete lack of lower legs—a result of a brutal biological necessity where the creature must consume its own bottom limbs just to escape its eggshell at birth. Because of this, it drags itself around using incredibly powerful front arms, creating a distinct, heavy thumping noise as it patrols. While the Thumper is completely deaf and relies entirely on sight to hunt, it possesses a lethal quirk: it can steadily accelerate to speeds far greater than any employee can run in a straight line. However, its low intelligence and poor turning mechanics make it highly vulnerable around sharp corners, where it frequently slams into walls, loses its momentum, and leaves itself wide open to being beaten to death with a standard issue shovel.
