spring breathes life into the deadened souls of winter. not all are fortunate enough to receive it. they sleep soundly and do not wake while the frost melts away and the warmth urges them to stir. yet the world will turn without them. the gentle giants of the earth will adorn their limbs with pinks and greens. the carpet will dot with purples, blues, and yellows. devoted drones will begin their busy work, and spread this renewal with fervor. those of us with watchful eyes are privy to this message. those of us with open hearts can receive these blessings too.

I give thanks to you, Saint Christopher, patron of travelers, for granting me a trip to the beach with my friends. We arrived well and not one bastard cop nor any soldiery stopped us or told anything about being hairy in our manner at the beach. Thank you for that, Saint Christopher. We all need to go to the sea.
