The Bombshell has been Voted off the BAU.
Spencer Reid x BAU employee Female!reader
Requested by the lovely - @hiddentattooodyssey
“Hey, 1 idea is bombshell bau member who uses Reid as her lap dog. Kinda like “I’d hang out with you tonight but I’ve too much paperwork”. He does it for her. When out with friends makes remarks like “I must text my Chauffeur to collect me, no matter what time. Reid knows he’s being used even Morgan told him. Then along comes Meave who values Reid and its bye bye bombshell.
To add one night he goes to pick her up. Sees her kissing another guy and drives around the block. Convincing himself it wasn’t her.”
(Authors note)Hi hoes,So I’m not a bombshell irl (at least I don’t think I am) but I hope to do this justice.I struggled like hell for no reason. I genuinely think this is so weak and I’m so sorry.
I did give her a slightly different job at the BAU something like Garcia, because I didn’t think they would let her publicly treat him like that so it would have to be a more subtle job.
Also, this is my first time writing a terrible reader. So, I’ll warn you now.
I’m attempting to make you hate her.
Enjoy. Requests are open. No beta reader we die like unsubs. (To dark? Well you haven’t seen anything yet.) ALSO ILL TELL YOU WHEN TO PLAY SONG IF YOU WANT.
The group knew today was going to be another rough one the moment they saw Spencer making your drink again…again. Yes you had him remake it twice. The first time there was “too much sugar” the second time, well they knew it was a game at this point. He practically lit up at the attention.
They didn’t get it. None of them did. And it’s their job to understand.
The first day you arrived well…you turned heads. The perfume you wore floated through the air almost as much as you walked, you seemed to glide in those slightly too tall heels…pointed…could stab if you kicked hard enough. Pointed toe and a sleek sexy glossy black color…that trailed up to these stockings that you obviously didn’t wear for the office.
In this day and age? No you wore them because they make your legs look long and you can see the very top of the lace of the stocking peaking out as you bend a bit to pick up something that black “skirt” you wear.
If you could call it a skirt. It’s a glorified napkin to most women. Sure it is in a pencil skirt shape but in an office? Mid thigh? Risky…the blouse…don’t even…
Even Hotch knew that you were pushing it when he saw how lowly unbuttoned that tucked in white button down was. Sure it was “technically” in dress code, but he is no fool.
The moment your eyes swept over the group as you balanced all your things in your arms as you walked in. Then your eyes landed on Spencer.
The poor man was gone the moment he saw you.
Like a man needs water. Like Morgan’s insistent name calling. Like his love of science…
He started to expect you…
Then after a while he started to need you.
You set up as a file sorter, technically you worked in evidence keeping track of things, remembering details…all those things drew him in.
“Dr.Reid can you help me sort this? You are better with numbers than me…”
“Dr.Reid can you reach this? You are taller than me…”
“Dr.Reid can you tell me about the history of this weapon? I was told you are the…man I could count on for information.”
Then Garcia was the one to notice over a month you got bolder. It wasn’t bad but…
You never touched him…you got closer and lingered and gave him the deepest up downs over those “reading glasses” of yours.(Though Garcia checked and found out they are fakes.)
This is when the BAU group started doing some deep dives.
And genuinely. You are a good person.
Then your things start “breaking” and Spencer…oh the sweet boy.
It starts small. New note books, wallets and lotions.
You start insinuating jewelry, clothes, hair and nails.
The day you strut in wearing those red bottom heels while Spencer trails behind you following you like some bellhop, this is when everyone knows something is off. Derek asks if it’s a “mutual” benefit which makes Spencer blush a pretty shade.
Slowly but surely Garcia, JJ and Elle are the ones to notice why Spencer sticks around.
With some mild stalking…and hacking.
They notice he hangs out with you…in a way. He gets invited and included in ways. Though put to the side. It’s like he’s happy to just be there.
The poor boy unaware he’s being used.
Dragging him to clubs. You dressed like…well…we know…
Him dressed in a pressed sweater and converse.
You and him going to shop for clothes.
And on things that look like dates.
It looks like he’s enjoying himself even though he’s in environments they know he hates.
The day they confront him. The fight that unfolds is bad. So bad in-fact all of the building hears it. You hear it and walk in worried and the way…they turn on you.
Oh and the way that new girl turns on you.
That Meave girl…you’ve met her a few times but you know it’s a loosing battle with her.
She’s got something you don’t.
Things in common with Spencer.
The calm arguing turns stormy when you enter looking concerned. You barely get out a “Dr.Reid-“ before you are cut off by Hotch harshly asking you to leave saying for you to “use your own skills for once in your life and figure yourself out,you don’t need Reid. He needs support and care and you obviously have neither. If you want to keep your job it’s best you leave the room while the people with good intentions…can talk.”…
It goes silent as you look so hurt.
A face they weren’t expecting. They expected to be yelled at. Cussed out.
You don’t look so big and bad for once.
You seemingly shrink in the doorway as you try not to cry.
You aren’t trained to hide your feelings. You file things. Clean things. Organize. You don’t…hide.
The lump in your throat makes you feel like you are suffocating and your stomach feels in knots…your feet feel like they might melt into the ground.
You blink and you don’t even look at Spencer you just…leave.
Later that day a box of all the things Spencer bought you ends up on his desk.
You treat them going forward only like…Co-workers.
You stop asking Spencer for help.
You struggle. Garcia sees this but doesn’t say anything. What would she say? What could she say.
The day after Spencer finds Meave in that…position.
…We don’t talk about it. It upsets him. They all know that.
They all know about his late night drives.
They saw him finding out.
It was after a case, they encouraged him to ask her to be his girlfriend properly and all that and in the back they one by one…til Spencer notices.
In the dark of the night they see Meave in the dress the girls knew she was going to wear out to celebrate the case.
They see her all pressed up against an alley.
Getting her face sucked of isn’t even a way to begin describing it but…
It’s obvious it hurts but…
It doesn’t seem to hurt him as much as it did seeing your face that day.
To the groups advice he stops seeing her fully which was hard, especially by him explaining why. Expressing his emotions was never easy but this was harder than it’s ever been.
Then expressing to his friends that he misses you…they groan but he looks confused and when they try to talk bad about you again he stops them and tries to explain.
All the gifts and lap dog behavior and manipulative looks and such…
And it makes sense. In a Spencer way. Only in a way it makes sense. He perused you and apparently you turned him down at first.
Worried you’d be too different.
So when you went to the club,he’d read at the booth and watch you and your friends bags.
When he’d go to the book store you’d sit in the coffee shop and shop on your phone while he stacked books on the table by you.
It’s obvious the more he explains the worse the group feels.
And they try telling him they were just looking out for him like always.
And maybe it’s not too late.
By the time the weekend is over (I like to imagine you had shifts so you had the weekend off or something.)
They come into work hoping Spencer can make it right.
Only to find out you transferred, different department “didn’t want to disrupt the workplace, better things for me elsewhere.”
It was quiet. No fuss. No note left for anyone. Just a quiet resignation over two weeks.
For once Spencer didn’t ruin it.
His friends being over bearing ruined it.
He could find out where you worked sure…but is it even worth it?
(Authors note) Hi hoes, look it’s another weak ending. It seems I have a pattern.
Sorry it was hard to write I’m not sure why! I’m sorry! I tried!
