I honestly think Gen-Z and younger simply does not understand how recent widespread smartphone adoption is.
I am not that old, and I didn't have a smartphone until probably late high school. For most of my life, many if not most people were not walking around with a magic internet machine in their pocket that they pulled out and used constantly for everything.

Not entirely related, but my last communication with the person I now call āsperm and trauma donorā was in college.

At some point, Iām really going to make the shirt idea Iāve had since forever.

Entrapdak is two people who are constantly used for what they can do and offered very conditional love providing that they do what helps the people that ācare about themā and not who they are, realizing that the other isnāt like that. I literally saw 4 hours this past Saturday.

So I basically slept from 2am to 3pm, was up for two hours, decided to go back to bed expecting to wake up at 10pm ish, and woke up about 2am Sunday.
Iām expecting that, since Iām currently easing out of four months of insane stress at work, my body is deciding itās not in pure survival mode anymore and collapsing in mutiny. šš
In other words, yes, the dorks are me.
(And a divergence circadian rhythm. My preferred sleep schedule is 4am to noon, but thereās no daycare centers in my area that are open the second shift so Iām stuck hoping we have enough staff to let me focus on afternoon shiftsā¦ā¦.)
