The Adventures Of Slyther & Puff

My Slyther is always doing his best to encourage me. I was worried about the costume I’ve been making for Halloween because it’s a little more show-off ish than I’m used to. Now, he isn’t big on the whole Halloween-costume-thing, so a recent conversation of ours is a big deal to me

Puff: So the party I've been making my Christine costume for isn't a costume party after all. It's a "fancy dress" party with masks

Slyther: you should still dress up anyway

Puff: I know, but I don't really know anyone else going so I'm kinda worried they'd just think I'm a whore.

Slyther: Find me a cape, I'll buy it, we will both be dressed up

Be ridiculously tall. He’s basically a giant

Every time he listens to music in the car, he does these cute little dances to make me smile

He’s a very good artist

He doesn’t road rage so much- he’s just passive aggressive

His cute purring sound he makes when I’m cuddling him

When listening to music, he’ll grab my hand and squeeze it to the beat of the song

When he hugs me, he rests his chin on my head because he’s very tall

He’s very protective over me. I know I’m always safe

Story time-

Okay so in the city Slyther and I live in, there’s a classic car show every Friday from May until late August. Slyther just so happens to own a 1950s Nash Metropolitan (aka the cutest little car I’ve ever seen- it looks like a toy) so me being the dork I am thought it would be super cute if we dressed up like a Greaser couple and go.

Now the outfit I was wearing wasn’t something I’d normally wear- I had a cute little crop top, black leather pants, a leather jacket, and heels. I even did my hair up too. So I felt super self-conscious and we had other friends with us and a bunch of old white men thought it was appropriate to keep whistling at me.

“Oh my gosh. I feel like a prostitute, I’m dressed like a whore!” I whispered. Much to my dismay, Slyther heard me although I didn’t know he had.

So we take some photos and my hair gets messed up and I couldn’t really fix it like how it was before. After I put it up and out of my way, Slyther teasingly bent down and told me-

Slyther: you’re my sweet girl

Puff: you don’t actually think I’m sweet

Slyther: yes I do

Puff: ...

Although there are a couple different stigmas about being a Hufflepuff, the best part is that you don’t have to fall under any of them. Many people may have their own idea of what it means to be a Hufflepuff, but my idea is what fits me.

I’m a Hufflepuff because...

I value ambition, loyalty, wisdom, and bravery equally

There is nothing more special to someone than a warm, inviting welcome

It’s important to make sure that everyone has someone to talk to

Just like all the other houses, I’m willing to do anything for those I care about

Being a Hufflepuff is not all yellow-aesthetic, sunshine, and flowers. Being a Hufflepuff is not always being a happy, positive, sweet bubble of a person.

Even if it doesn't seem it, most everything I do has some reason behind it

So Slyther and I recently went to an event where we dressed up in 1950s attire. I was a greaser girl and I wasn’t particularly feeling good about how I looked. I felt like I was dressed too immodestly-

Slyther: Not going to lie, I thought you looked really hot tonight all dressed up, but I like non dressed up you more

Puff: really?

Slyther: Because I like who you are. Not what you put on.

Slyther: want to go to the fair with me tomorrow?

Puff: I’d love to :)

My slytherin is is somewhat uncomfortable with asking for affection, so he does his best to let me know when he wants it, which resulted in this recent conversation-

Slyther: why are you over there?

Puff: I’m sitting?

Slyther: ridiculous. Come give me affection.

Puff: is someone in need of cuddles?

They don’t let their own ambition overshadow yours. In fact, he encouraged me to go for my own ambitions. My slytherin taught me that as a couple, our own personal goals are equally important. We work together so that we can both achieve our goals.
