What the fuck is happening on Tumblr why is every x reader so pick me so male-centered so patriarchal like I'm reading some of these FanFictions and in no way shape or form does reader ever come out good I don't understand like it's almost as if the readers only purpose is to be a pillar to support to hold up the male main character like her body doesn't even matter nor her choices if he wants kids he's getting kids it's so creepy and I feel like it's these young girls on here that are writing these FanFictions that is not how we should be treating men even fictional men because that builds bad habits also consent is optional on this app apparently and it's not even in the non-con or dubcon content (which i have no issue with theres a time and place) it's in like everyday fluff and that's where the problem lies because it's not everyday like it shouldn't be normalized that he gets to decide whether you have a baby or not that he gets to decide what happens to your body that you're only role in any fanfiction or readers roll in any fanfiction is to be under him and help him achieve his goals Idk I just think it's weird especially with the way things are going in the world I want to see more strong independent readers I want to see more readers who aren't infantilizing themselves who aren't so male centered like it's giving some of these readers would kill themselves if main character asked no problem and like I get it fanfiction but it's the amount it's like four in every five FanFictions it almost feels like these are written by Men At this point like how do you hate women that much that in a fanfiction where the reader is a woman or afab they have zero personality other than heart eyes for main male character it's giving the writer wants to be a trad wife so bad so they write fanfiction about it and sorry not sorry news flash that's not a good thing
