So, today is February 12, and on this day 14 years ago (wow, how time flies), something important to me came out, something I love and that evokes a rush of different feelings in me. Namely, episode 12 of the first season of Once Upon a Time, called "Skin Deep"

What is so significant about this episode? Well, how can I put it...

Hi guys! Today I decided to share something special with you. This is my animatic for the recent AU idea I got. I think I'll call it Freefromme. Its tells a story about Belle trying to fix her mistakes and being attacked by mirror alone. She brought Rumple's dagger with her to call him for help if needed but that didn't work out cuz of very obvious reason. Mirror broke right in front of her and almost killed her with the shards. It affected her eyes (real bad), that's why they the way they are in the actual animatic. After that her body goes straight up to the place of action which Rumple chose for the "show". Dark magic releases leaving Belle to lie on the floor, while stealing the dagger from Rumple and tells him that today he'll be truly free: all he needs to do is to get rid of Belle with the help of fake but still functional as weapon dagger. Luckily,  Rumple manages to free Emma from his own magic and she saves Belle from being murdered by her own husband. What happens next? See for yourself.

This is actually so bad that I have trouble believing it's true

The entire narrative of Lilo being at risk of being taken away by CPS was a clear incorporation of the US Governments history of destroying indigenous families via kidnapping. It was incredibly on the nose criticism of the history AND PRESENT of American imperialism against the native indigenous population.

And supposedly the live action movie just. Is pro American imperialism? It ends with the indigenous child being stolen away from the only family she has left?

This movie also promotes whitewashing. They casted a lightskinned wasian woman to play Nani instead of an actual indigenous Hawaiian woman. This movie is promoting the erasure of Hawaiian people getting to tell stories about themselves, there’s not a single Hawaiian person behind the writing or directing for the production of this movie and its clear that unlike the original cartoon, it’s made with a clear lack of respect for its people.
