I don't know if this is an ablist take or not but in my experience taking care of your body isn't half as hard as living in a body that isn't taken care of

I think it depends on what difficulties you are facing, and what you mean with "taking care of your body". Now that I'm medicated, I can tell that my ADHD and executive dysfunction genuinely made some self-care aspects more difficult to do than dealing with the consequences of not doing them.
