the rest is just conjecture but i wonder if this gives some insight to mahiru's mental state in ghost avenue. having to navigate fuchi's guarantorship process alone bringing back memories and further highlighting the fact that they were both abandoned by the family. fuchi's face reminding him of his mother. remembering suzuki as he now sees himself in her position, and the complicated feelings that brings, possibly a mix of idolization of her as his only ally in childhood, and coming to terms with the fact that she was only a teenager herself and he's now outgrown her by many years...
