Principles of Good Design - Dieter Rams

Good Design Is Aesthetic : I think this is one of the points that I agree with Dieter on; a product has to be pleasing to look at to be considered 'good design'. If something is not pleasing on the eye then the chances are the audience do not want to view it. It has to catch their attention and make them enjoy looking at it.

Good Design Makes a Product Useful : A design to be good I believe needs to be useful. There is no point in having a design/product if it does not serve it's purpose or use.

Good Design Is Long-lasting : I would consider good design long-lasting. Along with the design serving its purpose it should also be able to withstand being used a lot of times.
