That moment in Cursed Child where 14 year olds break into the Ministry of Magic using a security hole no one thought to close after Deathly Hallows.

So I’ve thought a lot, and a theory just sort of popped into my head.

A lot of people say that Voldemort is unable to have a child because he cannot feel love. 

But sex =/= love!! And let’s be real, Bellatrix would practically throw herself at Voldemort. 

Delphini was Voldemort and Bellatrix’s child. She said she was born before the Battle of Hogwarts. What if she was literally born right before the battle? And Bellatrix just left her. In my opinion Bellatrix is not capable of motherly feelings and it would make sense if Delphi was actually sick as a child. Improper care as an infant would result in this.

My theory is that Voldemort decided to have a child so that he could make it his horcrux. If Voldemort had a child no one would dare hurt it (just like his snake) and his child would be given such respect and hence no chance of the horcrux being destroyed.

Voldemort wanted an extra horcrux because there would be no way that anyone would no about it and Harry Potter would fail even if he had thought he won.

Harry’s mission started on June 1997, you know to hunt the horcruxes. If Delphi was born in early May or late April (as the battle took place on May 2, 1998) then she would have had to be concieved in early August or late July of 1997. This could have happened if Voldemort found out that Harry and co were planning on destroying his horcruxes.

But maybe, the Battle took place so soon that Voldemort had no time to turn Delphini into a horcrux, hence why he was so keen on keeping Nagini safe. 

He wanted to have an extra horcrux so he could still come back to life. But it didn’t work out and Delphi was just disregarded.
