all in all though, it was a good trial for our trip to NYC next month to attend a family friend's daughter's wedding.  while i've been looking forward to the trip for months (love NYC!), i'm gnawing my finger to the bone with anxiety about Mochi's first flight and long trip.  it's quite a long flight for a baby's 1st flight so we'll need LOTS of luck...and children's Benadryl, of course!  kidding, kidding...maybe, perhaps, possibly, maybe not, unlikely. where is that bottle of Benadryl anyways?!?!!

i think we're going to stop taking these monthly portraits now that he's a year old and just getting too active to sit still for photo shoots.  plus, he's not changing much from month to month so it's more fun to take pix of him doing new activities or just Mochi being Mochi.  =)

for the pic below, i think it's pretty clear that he looks like a natural!  ;P  maybe he'll really give J-Lin (or Yao Ming) a run for his $$ in about 20 yrs!  you can be sure i'll be his "momager" if that happens.  =)
