Overcome with a sense of urgency, Sabrina turned to see who it was she felt approaching her. Immediately, she analyzed his face, recognizing him.

“Bugsy.” She said simply in her monotone ‘public speaking’ voice, blinking a few times before shortening the distance between the two. She felt it more appropriate, since the fellow Gym Leader was the first familiar person in the strange land of Alola. It gave her a unique sense of what she could only assume to be was comfort.

“I will join you,” she spoke softly, turning to enter the establishment. The aromas were proving far too tempting, that the denying of her tastebuds any longer was unforgivable. “Have you tried Malasada before?”

“I didn’t expect to see you here, but I’m glad there’s someone I recognize,” Bugsy chuckled. “On a break from the gym duties?” he questioned.

“Ah-- and I apologize for the suddenness...if I was intrusive,” his brimming energy from earlier retreated. Thinking about it, Bugsy had never actually befriended the Saffron gym leader. Was he in a position well enough to afford the ability to ask her for a Malasada dining so casually? He had briefly acquainted her through regional events but it hasn’t progressed far past introductions. However, hearing her response restored the curves to his lips.

“It’s… hot.”

The blistering heat of Alola was getting to Sabrina, who wandered aimlessly around the main avenue of Hau’oli City’s Shopping District. The thick crowd was overwhelming, but the Psychic master went relatively unnoticed as she scanned for somewhere to eat. Her brief visions, sort of like a mental GPS, ended up drawing her to a cute little deli not far from the Marina.

“Malasada? I wonder what those taste like.”

“So this is Alola...” the young male hummed as he stepped off the ferry, filled with excitement. Though, he felt nearly wilted within moments. How strange. This was the very sun he's known all his life, yet the scorching orb seem completely foreign to him here.

“Ah! I should treat myself to a snack first to re-energize — perhaps the famous Malasada!” Bugsy peered down at his map for the location of the Malasada Shop, carefully taking in the directions. He couldn’t help but hear the individual before him. In curiosity, his eyes followed the direction of her voice and he noticed the familiarity of her figure. If he was correct, this was Sabrina of Saffron City. The aura around her was unmistakable.
