I do not understand black k-pop fans. They will complain about k-pop idols saying racist slurs, they will say that k-pop "appropriate black American culture" and will talk about the "cultural appropriation" in the K-pop industry, yet despise how much they seemingly hate K-pop because of that, they will keep being in the K-pop community.
I think speaking up against racism is pretty valid but also... if you hate k-pop because of the "disrespect" towards black people then... stop engaging with K-pop and consume elements that are part of your own culture.
I have seen people saying that black K-pop fan are "the strongest people" but I disagree, I think they are stupid because they are part of a community that they are not "welcome" in (according to them) and they believe that the content they're engaging with is disrespectful to them. Yet instead of stopping engaging with it, they will keep listening to music, being in the community, talking about it etc. Some will claim to be in the community and talk only about "racism" in the industry.
This is why I think that if you're a black person and the "racism" in the k-pop industry is bothering you, then you should not be allowed to be a "K-pop fan". Music is not for everyone.
(Before you comment that "you can enjoy something while still being critical about it!!". I have seen people exclusively talk about these "issues", so I think they are being too critical and hate K-pop. I believe that if you pretend to be a fan of K-pop and at the same time say things like "K-pop is stealing our culture!!!" you do not even enjoy K-pop. Even is the industry was stealing black culture (WHICH IT IS NOT), how can you enjoy something that you know is disrespectful to your culture ?)
