“Estherrrr study out ta nah?”

I thought it was just a normal rainy study out night where we will talk for hours and study for minutes.

Sure it was.

It was a cold night at Mcdonald’s and we took turns in going to the wash room so that someone could look up to our stuff while one is away.

While she’s gone I continue to read through my notes and a sudden weird feeling showed up.

I realized how soon it is gonna be when the semester is finally over.

I wondered if she would miss me. I wanted to tell her that night I will miss her but I just couldn’t. I was caught off guard by the fact that maybe she wouldn’t miss me as much as I would miss her or maybe just because I didn’t want her to think that I was in state if drama that night. (Don’t judge me.)

Soon enough it will be another block and another group of people to spend time with.

Soon enough we won’t get the chance to frequently go here as we used to.

I know we’ll still see each other around but I will still miss those times when we just stand there beside the street and wait for a jeepney on our way home.

I will miss walking home with her whenever there’s no more jeepney to ride.

I will miss eating with her and explaining that no nope I am not full yet even after those extra rice.

I will miss her overly detailed stories.

I will miss talking about our grades, our friends and our laundry.

I will miss laughing about silly stuff with her.

I will miss our gossip.

I will miss those “I know what you’re thinking” stare that we would share.

I will miss going to cafe talk with her and not following their 3hr rule during the weekends.

I will miss staying for hours in mcdo with her even if we couldn’t stand the cold anymore.

I will miss the way she holds my arm when we walk.

I will miss being just myself when I’m with her.
