Neverland is pretty badass, to be honest. But that’s cute! As a child, I was more of the princess type of girl. Obviously. I always wanted to be a mermaid, as ridiculous as that sounded, so Atlantis would have been hella cool. It’s amazing how shows and movies and stories can do that to a person, really. Especially when we are all little like. Well, perhaps I’m not the best citizen around, but shit happens. And you so happened to catch me in one of those moods of goodly deeds. Where we could go? Well, I was thinking maybe The Rusty Wheel in the downtown area. It’s a place I go pretty often, to say the least.

So I guess your favorite princess was Ariel? I don’t think I would like to be a triton. I mean, living underwater sure has to be fun for a while, but I wouldn’t like to live in a world without air. Not because of breathing, if I were a triton I wouldn’t have this problem, but because air often carries great smells, like the smell of bread, of grass, of food, but now I’m realizing bread is food so it’s like I’m counting food twice, ok, never mind. My point is that we wouldn’t be able to perceive them underwater, right? It would be a shame. Then I love to dance, so having no legs would be a nightmare for me. Anyway that’s just my not requested point of view.

Well, you say phones are a lot of help, but what if your phone dies? And hell, GPS are the worst thing out there sometimes. Send you where all the traffic is, send you South when you should be going North, be the voice every man wants to hear. That whole deal. I agree with the whole elderly questioning thing. It’s cute to an extent, but then they start getting in with the personal questions. It’s like they find the door to them with anything. What’s your name? What do you do? Are you with soeone? Why are you here? Are you happy? It’s adorable. And then that starts. Shit, no don’t worry. I always ramble, it’s a bad habit of mine. We’ll just ramble together, no biggie.

I think it could be useful sometimes. The “I ask you as many questions as I want and you’ll have at least to mumble something because otherwise it would be rude” thing. For example, I’m a big fan of Leonardo di Caprio’s work, if I met him on the street I would not approach him since I know who he is and I wouldn’t know what to say. But, if I were an old man with no idea on who that is, I would go near to him starting talking like I would always do. Can you see my point? All I’m saying is that being nosy could also be good if you’re interested in knowing more about somebody’s life. Just for the sake of science, what would you answer if I was an old but charming man on his sixties asking you these questions?

I mean… we can always use our imaginations? I didn’t mean to disappoint anyone and well, for all we know, you could have stumbled across Munchkinland or something. I should be the one? Hm. You’re lucky I’m feeling like a good citizen today, so I’ll do that for you. As my apologies and all.

When I was a kid I loved Peter Pan’s story, so if I were to stumble upon an enchanted place I would hope for it to be Neverland. I would probably spend the entire day wandering, and trying to join Capitan Hook’s crew just because I have the chance to do it. When I saw Michael Jackson’s mansion on tv for the first time, I was speechless. I didn’t think adults could do that. My 9 years old self, was quite envious.

You made it safely, that’s the good thing about it! I think I got lost finding my own place multiple times when I arrived. I’m not very good with remembering places when all I was doing while in the car was looking at the new surroundings and not so much directions. But thank God for maps, right? If for some reason they ever vanish from earth, magically, I will live in a box that will prevent me from getting lost, ever. Okay. Enough with the rambling. I’m Crystal and it’s a pleasure to have you around!

Maps are a tremendous invention, but if you don’t know where you are, can be a little tricky, don’t you think? While if you use your phone it’s all good ‘cause it appears the blue pointer and you’re all set to go, when it comes to the physical map, it takes me some time to realize where I am. And by “some time” a mean quite a lot if there aren’t any directions, and/or the only people passing through are elderly people who then proceed to ask me lots of questions about why I’m there, why I got lost, who I am and answer me with the same talkativeness. Not that I am complaining about elderlies seeking company, nor I am saying there should be a sort of class in school aimed to teach you how to read maps. Even though it may come in handy it situations where… Why am I even telling you these things? Gosh I’m so sorry. I usually act and speak like a normal person, I swear.

I got lost the first time I came here, and that was just in the drive from the nearby airport. I had to turn around and ask several locals for directions. The important thing is you found it and you probably will never get lost again. If you want a beer, I’m the one to ask. Well, everyone’s the one to ask, but I’m always up for a beer.

Then you should understand how I’m feeling! In my defense, I’m not used to driving long distance alone and without any sort of technological device. I’m starting to think I should reconsider maps, and putting a bunch of them in my car, of areas I may visit. Just to be sure I won’t make a fool out of myself again getting lost like a child. Thing is, what if a woman gets in my car and see a pile of maps on the seats/in the doors? She could think I’m a psycho ready to bring her to Mexico and oh man, I really don’t want that. Speaking of women, how are they here? Really paranoid? Paranoid as usual, or what?

I’ve been here since… January, I think? And I still, if my mind isn’t in the right place, get completely lost and confused. It’s something about how scenic it can be, in all honesty. I always figure it’s better to be lost in a beautiful place like Bayview than somewhere boring, plain and just downright not fun.

Bayview has definitely some breathtaking sceneries. I still haven’t had the chance to visit them myself, but I’m planning to do that soon. Any recommendation for a newcomer?
