i don’t know how to make these posts but right now and for the past few months things have spiraled towards my grandmother health wise and it’s just really difficult for her to get adequate care in sudan with underresourced hospitals. on top of it, my grandmother needs to use an electric breathing machine because her lungs are too weak to generate oxygen on their own, which is nerve wrecking because of the consistent 8-10 hour outages that now happen every other day in sudan. my family bought a generator, but it just still isn’t reliable. my grandma is an american citizen and under american healthcare her illnesses/conditions are manageable, but the doctors say she is unfit to travel anywhere, including to the closer destinations (saudi, UAE) my family has considered. at this point it just seems like there are no more options and her health is just getting progressively worse. all of this is also taking a toll on my mother, who is working a stressful and exploitative job and has to fly back and forth. she has not slept properly in months.had plans to sit with my grandmother this june and spend time with her and get to know her better but i can’t help but fear that i won’t see her again. please just keep my family, my grandmother especially, in your duaas. only allah’s intervention can help ease this pain
