Summary: (Not good at these oh my gosh) Everybody in life had a secret, it didn’t matter if that secret was big or small everyone held a secret. Some were small and insignificant but yours wasn’t. Your secret was a life or death situation, something you were willing to take to the grave with you.
A/N: This is part of the Wilting Wisteria collab that the beautiful and amazing @decembermoonskz created! Please go and read what the other incredibly talented authors have put together for you!!! Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of this hunny, I had a lot of fun writing a fantasy piece and getting to do whatever I wanted. AU’s are some of my favourites!! I was inspired by the Cruel Prince and some tiktok videos on what true enemies to lovers stories should be so I hope you all enjoy!
Everyone pretended to be something that they weren’t, whether that be confident or shy or to be someone that they’re not. Everyone was hiding something in their life and it could be big or small but for you…You were hiding something huge. Something so huge you couldn’t tell another living soul or you would be killed. It was as simple as that.
No one was allowed to know the truth of who you were…Or rather what you were.
You had been using glamours your whole life to hide the fact that you were human, yes Human. Although in the real world being human wasn’t a problem in Lockholme it was a gigantic problem. The creatures that lived there would kill you or eat you alive if they even found out that you were human. You couldn’t even tell our best friend that you weren’t like her or like her kind.Â
You’d grown up in Lockholme alongside some of the cruellest people in the world, people that would tear at one another just to get above them. Your mother bought you here as a young child because she had married a fae without knowing what he was, all she knew was that she had fallen in love with someone who lived far away.Â
