Akitoya being multicultural hcs?
Toya speaks Austrian German -
This is probably more a rant, but it's a little surprising and also sad (to me specifically lmao) that people believe that Toya speaks standard German, and that he went to Germany in WL2. Spoiler alert, he didn't. Toya went to stay with his brother in Vienna, which is the capital of Austria and is known for it's classical music. It's the home of most of the well known composers you can name off the top of your head. It's also mentioned in his WL2 episodes that's he's in Vienna. Toya mentions at some point (I think on the camping trip?) that he used to go to Vienna quite often, every year almost, but that he wasn't allowed to explore the city so he could only go to the events that his parents took him to. I loveeee that it's canon that he can speak fluently and that he speaks Austrian German, just because there r a bunch of words in standard German that make me wanna tear my hair out. I wouldn't headcanon him as mixed tho. it still doesn't mean he's not interested in the culture tho teehee
Akito (+Ena) are Russian -
I've seen a lot of ppl headcanon them as Chinese, Singaporean or Irish which I can see, especially because (apparently) Enas name isn't that common in Japanese but it is in Irish. Anyway, I love the idea that the Shinonomes are Russian, specifically from Udmurtia (Udmurt Republic), which is part of European Russia. They're known for their red hair there, and lord knows akitos hair is as ginger as it's gonna get. Ik that fully Japanese ppl can have red hair too but it's more fun this way. Since I've laid down my basis for this, here come the headcanons. His mum probably went to Japan cos she was fascinated with culture, hence the many pictures of mininonomes wearing Kimonos. She met Shitei and things went on from there. They go back to Russia to see their cousins n stuff once a yr, probably for Maslenitsa. They also eat pancakes for Maslenitsa so obviously you can see how it all ties in. They also speak, read and write Russian, Akito more so than Ena.
on a side note related to another headcanon, they learned to read and write Russian because they had to study the Russian Bible. They don't believe in religion, but Akito believes there's a 'higher being', something akin to fate.
Toya calls Akito 'Mein Schatz' meaning 'My treasure' and 'Schatzi' which is just a shortened version and means 'sweetheart' or 'darling'
he prefers to refer to Akito as his 'Lebensgefährte' in his head. A Lebensgefährte is a partner/long-term companion that u share ur dreams, hopes, challenges and life with. it can be platonic but in this case it's obviously romantic. I would probably ascend if someone called me their Lebensgefährtin
Akito calls Toya 'Golubchik', meaning 'little dove' (male version). but only when it's just the two of them, and mostly when Toya's upset or when Akito's feeling extra soft. Toya enjoys it more because it has literary history.
Akito sings under his breath in Russian from time to time and Toya loves listening to him.
a little sad but Akito won't mention anything more about Toya other than the fact that he's his singing partner when he's in Russia, for fear of what could happen if his family found out
Toya messes up articles quite a bit, the rules only make sense sometimes, majority of the time you just need to listen to what other people say.
Akito and Ena used to hide in cupboards (closets (surprise surprise)) and under their beds when it was time for Bible study with their mum.
Akito likes rapping in Russian, specifically that one song about pancakes in the village.
