He may know your favorite color and your middle name. Your favorite animal and your love for flowers. He'll know what you did yesterday and the night before that. He might know one of your favorite places to eat or your favorite kind of tea. Maybe you'll tell him about what you want to do in life. But he won't love you like I do. He can't love you like I do. He'll never admire your love for every species on the planet or your passion for nature. The look in your eyes as you watch a new leaf sprout on an orchid. The tears of joy when your kitten purrs at your presence. Your extensive vocabulary behind every "I don't know". Your love for change but fear to adapt. They way you pour your tea but wait for someone else to taste in case it's too hot. Do you even know what she wants? How to treat her? What to give her? When to call her? Did she eat yet? Why hasn't she slept? How many tests does she have this week? Describe her with more words than cute or beautiful because those words do not suffice. Why are you proud to have her? What do you do to deserve her? She deserves nothing but the best but my best wasn't enough. Give her passion and loyalty. Fuzzy socks and chai tea are her favorite. She likes elephants but loves every animal and insect. She'll cook you nachos before you actually watch Netflix. She's competitive but don't let her win, she'll just rub it in your face. Remind her that you're always there for her, she likes reassurance. Take her on walks, enjoy the stars and ALWAYS admire the moon with her. Make sure she wears her retainer before she goes to bed. If she's upset, order her flowers, make her biscuits and gravy, or snuggle her until she falls asleep. There's so much more to list, but why ramble? I know all of this... Why wasn't I doing it. I had one job with all the knowledge, I just didn't do it. I don't believe in throwing love away. I believe in building and growing. Regretting and learning. It's not too late to save what you care for the most. So put your pride to the side and remind her that she's perfection in your eyes. - Awkward Epidemic
