So I’m lowkey a sucker for those cute little “taking care of my sick friend/crush” plots in shows so this was really fun to mess with

I remember the manga mentioning Luffy never got sick but if he ever did, I think he’d be a grumpy, miserable sick, joy and whimsy GONE because everything just feels off, and he can’t do anything about it but sit still for a few days (I’m definitely not the same way, why’d you ask)

Mermaid AU would consist of,, well, One Piece but Luffy’s a mermaid but he doesn’t think its important enough to share and shenanigans occur (Mermaids would be based more so on Luca logic than One Piece logic mermaids but its fiiine)

Robin’s Shelter AU (One Piece but pirating isn’t popular, its more modern, Robin still ate a devil fruit but instead of meeting pirates she meets stray animals and its wholly fluff and angst)

Blue Jam AU: Luffy’s brothers didn’t save him from Blue Jam in time but instead of death, he tries selling Luffy for his devil fruit powers and basically, Ace is miserable while Luffy is having a grand old time (several pirates versus “freedom is a concept of the mind” luffy)
