For my final project, I wanted to do something that I knew would be special to me and could hopefully impact other Black women as well. I decided to do a project that focused on the diversity of Black womanhood and our experiences with our Blackness. I interviewed multiple Black women and got their take on what it represents for them and how important it is to empower one another. I also did a photoshoot with each girl in beauty, including hair and facial features. -Terrnekia Collier

The focus of my final project is three young female photojournalists at different stages of their academic careers at the Cronkite School.  I spoke to them about the role of women in the field of photojournalism, the challenges they’ve faced, and the goals and dreams they’re working towards or aspiring to.  You can check out the project here. - Lysandra Marquez

My final project deals with the challenges facing youths in Compton; from an insider and outsider’s perspective using Kendrick Lamar’s classic album “Good Kid M.a.a.d City.” While the album basically details a day in the life of Compton teenager Kendrick Lamar and how he manages to make it out of the city, the project also documents the struggles that Compton residents face every single day. From gangs to drugs to poverty, this album accurately depicts a problem that needs to finally be resolved. -Austen Browne

For my final project, I chose to again look at the intangible element behind one of my favorite companies, the Walt Disney Company. I was particularly interested in why Disney is one of the few companies around the world that has almost a “cult-like” following of millions upon millions. Through some investigation and a series of interviews, I’ve tried to discover some of the magic behind Disney! -Tim Johns

I have been studying in the United States for almost a year now. Though I am thrilled by the new culture and new friends, I miss my hometown desperately. Therefore, I decided to take this opportunity to introduce to all one of my favorite food in China: Scallion Pancakes. Adolescents around the nation are facing an anxiety epidemic. Anxiety disorders are the most diagnosed mental health illness in adolescents and suicide is the second highest cause of death for youth around the nation. These facts and statistics compelled me to research and begin dialogue about the adolescent anxiety epidemic. After all of the doubtful statistics and facts that I found online, it was refreshing to reach the conclusion that faith, hope and love reign over anxiety and depression for many youth. 

My final project is an article and timeline regarding the history of ASU baseball since its inception in 1959. Some people may not realize just how historically successful the team has been over the years, so I tried to sum it up as best as I could in both the timeline and the article. Jacob Janower

For my final project I decided to make a timeline of about 30 different influential musicians that have either been from, or lived in Arizona. Some of the most notable being Stevie Nicks, Waylon Jennings and Alice Cooper. They were the trendsetters of the their time and helped pave the way for the future. | Emily Houck

For my final presentation in Advanced Online Media, I decided to create a mock-up and proposal of my book and business idea, Future Boss Lady. Here, for this presentation, I decided to exhibit a book proposal, so that I can better explain the entire essence of the project to the class. On April 4, 2017 Sheriff Paul Penzone announced that he would be closing Tent City Jail for good after it opened more than two decades ago by former Sheriff Joe Arpaio. The decision was long awaited after the newly elected sheriff announced a team he’d put together would be evaluating the necessity of it. My final project includes interviews with people who were either included in the decision making process or had strong opinions about it. It also includes includes a timeline of important events and a small written piece about what happens next. - Veronica Acosta
