The Explorations of Nicodemus

In New Undertale lore, during his younger years starting out as leader of the Rats of NIMH and an agent of Hylia, Nicodemus made his own gummi ship and traveled to different worlds, where he documented his discoveries and met other fellow agents. He brought his discoveries to his people and they developed their community from what he learned from the outside worlds.

Nicodemus Hand Practice

Nicodemus has always been a favorite character to draw, and his hands are definitely memorable. Five and eight were ones I drew myself while the rest were referenced from the movie. ☺

A detail I learned from the making of is that John Pomeroy, legendary animator and co-producer of several Don Bluth movies, filmed his hands and had fake nails on for references of scenes when Nicodemus was on screen.

Coincidental Details

When designing Suzuki and Rikku for the first time, I didn't want them to just be carbon copies of their mom, Tsuruga; I wanted their appearances to be different while being related. But after making them and improving their styles over the last several months, I ended up finding an interesting discovery.

Tsuruga is their mom and Piccolo may not be biologically related to them, but Suzuki and Rikku coincidentally have some of his traits, too. ^^

Let me explain:

- Suzuki was born with mostly her mom's physical genes. They both have brown eyes, but Suzuki was born with blue hair, which her grandmother and great-grandma have on Tsuruga's side of the family.

- With her hair down, Suzuki has m-crested bangs, but she keeps them pulled back and tied with a red ribbon, but has two twinges of hair that look like antenna, oddly similar to Piccolo's actual antenna.

- Rikku has a mixture of both her mom and father's physical genes. Suzuki and Rikku's father, Enji, had brown hair and hazel eyes. Rikku was born with brown hair, along with having his mom's similar haircut.

- But for Rikku's eyes, he was born with pupil eyes, which he got from his great-grandpa Master Roshi; and Rikku unintentionally has pupil eyes like Piccolo's.

Who would've thought that Piccolo would be Suzuki and Rikku's step-dad afterwards before the Android Arc? ^^

Finally drew a picture of Cell for my Dragon Ball fanart. About time I did this magnificent cicada bastard. 👑

(The spots were a bit of an annoyance, but it looks good. ^^)

Gangsta Piccolo (Full Color)

Finally finished coloring the sketch, and it looks so awesome.

Little Easter eggs about some of Piccolo's tattoos, particularly the Kanji ones. The one on his shoulder says "Gohan", on his bicep says "Suzuki", on his forearm says "Rikku", and the one on the side of his arm says "Dende".

And of course, the one on his chest says "Tsuruga", with an orchid being her favorite flower and a couple of her Divine Blades. Obviously added a tattoo of Shenron on his other arm. But anyway, it all looks so cool. 😎
