Origins of your blog's name

I came up with the username awanderingmuse many moons and fandoms ago. I knew even when I started out in fandom that I was one going to be in it for the long haul and two not going to be a one fandom kinda gal. At the time, I was very into Percy Jackson which still may be my longest running fandom. So, I wanted something general but maybe greek myth related. I was also working on having the song "I Won't Say I'm in Love" performance ready. Finally I have always loved a good play on words.

So what's a multi-fandom, greek myth, word play nerd supposed to do when coming up with a username? Why she chooses a myth related word play pointing to her multi-fandom nature, of course. A wandering Muse. Is it my Muse that wanders or myself? When spoken aloud is this muse wandering or wondering? Am I or my muse wandering among fandoms like a field or flowers or merely WIP's?

Sometimes I think of myself as a question yet to be answered. So it is fitting that my username is as well.

My go-to food order

But, real question, what are we eating? I love food. Generally speaking I want a sandwich or some home cooking. Something that I'm promised some veggies (though I dislike salads).

Also, if guacamole is being offered I want that.

I don't use a lot of emojis, but when I do it's the 💖.

Um, depends in what way I am being comforted? If it's just for chill vibes, it's definitely listening to the Outer Wilds sound track or chilling in a spot in the game for [REDACTED].

If it's escapism, let me introduce you to my new fascination with both Batman and Danny Phantom. No, this will not soon become everyone's problem. What are you talking about?

Well first of Campfire Song by Andrew Prahlow lives in my heart, so jot that down, lol.

But when not that, I have a 27 hour playlist of music by various punkish alt rock bands...so uh...probably that.

Current hyperfixations

Somewhere between figuring out the upcoming events for the Event blog and day dreaming about that DPxDC fic I am most certainly not writing. Let me lie to myself a little longer y'all.

Also staring at my current Outer Wilds and Avatar the Last Airbender WIP's wondering why the block won't go away.

What smell makes me happy

Hmmm tied between fresh baked cinnamon apples and petrichor. You know what, a cup of cinnamon apple tea on a covered porch while it's raining. Yup that's my favorite smell.

Shout out to the ocean too, tho.

Something I loved as a kid and still secretly do

I feel like telling y'all I love to tell and write stories isn't a secret. . Maybe space? I love the stars and could stare at them for hours. I like learning about new things that we're discovering and seeing old friends through my telescope. When I was little (like 3 or 4) I would tell anyone who would listen about how the Earth orbited the Sun and the Moon orbited Earth and about the moons phases and whatever else floated through my brain. I was a nerdy little kid.

Um, well when I was asked this question I was Outer Wilds/space themed. Then the nebula picture on the back of phone case peeled off and I took that as sign that maybe I should retire the theme. So it's Gotham and a bunch of Robins right now.

Early Bird by biology, Night Owl by marriage. tl;dr I don't sleep enough. LOL.

If you work, what is your profession, and do you like it?

I am the Executive Assistant at a nationally recognized retail firm. I can't really talk much about my day to day, partially because I'm not even 100% what I'll be doing from day to day. Safe to say I'm often busy, tired, and low on time. That being said, I love supporting my team and work with really great people who make it worth it.
