It’s funny

Because hyphens

Subtract numbers, yet add words

*Swings sword sing-songily*

*Shakes shoulders, haughtily*

A year later

And I’m still writing nerdy maths poems

Nothing’s changed

Except we’ve gone around the sun and come back again, alone

Try to dig my heels in

Prevent the deletions

Bring you back

Remove the spaces

To clip us at the hip

Unless I was just another number

Nothing hardly changes anything

When what you want

Is 9,246 miles away

When you are not here… my heartbeat slows down and long, the hours are done breaking me,                      - what fragile glass !-

When you are not here… the sun sets in its dawn and even the stars, “cry” full of ethereal anxiety.

When you are not here… my reasons collapse up steep steps to make me, - mineral ! -

When you are not here… my feeling has no channel and my rivers are disasters that goes to the sea ! -.

When you are not here… clocks pierce me which sword of Damocles nailed,               - on my spine ! -.

When you are not here… colors fade on the canvas of flowers and everything is,                   - deep darkness ! -

When you are not here… silence makes noise and fills me with vestiges of your longed for eternity ! -

When you are not here… the drifts confuse me from the promised land that vanish, - without ceasing ! -

Cuando tú no estás… mis latidos se aminoran y largas, se hacen las horas rompiéndome,                - cual frágil cristal !-

Cuando tú no estás… el sol se oculta en su aurora y hasta las estrellas, “lloran” llenas de etérea ansiedad.

Cuando tú no estás… se desploman mis razones por empinados escalones hasta hacerme, - mineral ! -

Cuando tú no estás… mi sentir no tiene cauce y mis ríos, son desastres que van a parar al mar !-

Cuando tú no estás... me atraviesan los relojes cual espada de Damocles clavada,          - en mi espina dorsal ! -

Cuando tú no estás… se apagan los colores en el lienzo de las flores y todo es,            - honda oscuridad !-

Cuando tú no estás… el silencio se hace ruido y me llena de vestigios de tu ansiada eternidad ! -
