Alhena is Altair's twin sister. I already talked about her a bit in Altair's story, so you know she falls squarely into the evil twin trope.

When I told my friend about Alhena, she said, "Hey Kar, can I make a character obsessively in love with her?" And I said, "You can, but Alhena wouldn't stop flirting with everyone and would play with their feelings as soon as she noticed them." And she said, "It doesn't matter, I don't care if Alhena never reciprocates, I just want a character who's obsessed with her and would kill for her, just because she's a little crazy."

And I said, "Well, that sounds good to me."

It didn't take long for Alhena to end up being a character who plays with the feelings of several people, but who has her favorite crazy girl, whose feelings for her are never clear, and whom she would even cheat on if they were a couple, but who would never tolerate Astrid doing the same to her.

They both die, so in this life they aren't happy. Astrid never gets the "I love you" she'd kill for, and Alhena may never understand what she loves so much about Astrid. Perhaps in another life, if they had a different life, they could have been happy… and less crazy.
