It’s ok to be jealous and mad and sad and angry and any other “negative” emotion… You’re not being toxic you’re being human. The point at which you become toxic is when you’re letting these emotions seep into how you treat others

the spiritual community pushes this narrative of “love and light” so strongly and neglects to explain that you must enter the darkness to reach that “light and love.” if you preach to others to stay positive and to get rid of all the negativity in their life, you are doing them a disservice. you must recognize and acknowledge the shadows of your life. what are they for? what are they there to teach you? if you are not acknowledging these “negative” parts, your practice is surface level. you must learn the darkness and work with it. only then does your “light and love” hold strength
