The fact that people don’t think of Hermitcraft s8 big moon as an incredible season is criminal. The fact that people have negatively commented on season 8 so much that the hermits have internalized it as a “bad season” at times is criminal.

Genuinely, I have heard hermits talk about season 8 and every time it seems to boil down to what the “audience reaction was” (and some burnout, which, fair and valid ofc). Fair enough that Hermitcraft season 8 was my own first season I watched live, but it had an energy that no other season has ever matched. It was an experiment, it was fun, it was storytelling. The fact that there are fans who shit on hermits and Hermitcraft trying and experimenting with new things, and actually get to them, is so sad. It’s pointless to get mad about it when so many people around me feel the same way I do, but it bears repeating: let the hermits have fun. Stop watching someone if you don’t like their stuff. Don’t try to mold the hermits into someone you want them to be.
