Avery is the kind of girl that is willing to do whatever it takes to get what she wants. Being born in a rich family, Avery led a privileged life. Her dad was a prominent business man while her mother was a retired model. Avery’s life might’ve sound enviable to an outsider, but her life was far from perfect. Given the fact that her parents were always too busy to deal with her, she was raised by her nannies and sent to a boarding school as soon as she was old enough to attend one. Avery was the classic example of a problem child. The school authorities had to call her parents every single week since she was always up to something.

Sadly, Avery’s privileged life didn’t last long. Both of her parents died in a car accident when she was thirteen years old and since her parents didn’t leave a will, all of their assets were distributed among her father’s business partners. Avery didn’t have any close relatives that could defend her so she was penniless. She was sent to an orphanage and spent most of her teenage years there, which made her develop a sense of independence since now she was all alone in the world.

Avery couldn’t get used to life in the orphanage, so one day decided to run away. She knew that was very risky, but she was determined to at least try to get her life back. Living on the streets wasn’t easy, but she was willing to do anything just to survive, even if it consisted of pleasuring men in a dark alley. One day she ran into a man that felt sorry for her and gave her a place to live. It wasn’t much, but at least she had a roof over her head.

Now that she is older, Avery has decided to get her life together; or at least try to. She may not be a problem child anymore, but she isn’t a saint either. She had problems making the ends meet after getting that old, ratty apartment, so she started taking money from older men in exchange of her company and become a “sugar baby.” Avery knows how to take advantage of her beauty and is an expert in making men do what she wants so she had no problem in getting various men to pay her a weekly allowance. Quickly, Avery became one of the most requested girls in the city. Rich and influential men fought to take her on dates and have the girl be their companion to important galas. In one of these events, she met Damien Hawthorne. She knew the man was a famous filmmaker, and most importantly a rich one, so she set his eyes on him. Making him accept her business offer wasn’t hard, so they started “dating” soon after that night.

A year passed, and Damien and Avery were still together. After a horrible fight after Damien found out she was seeing other men, Damien finally confessed to Avery that he was in love with her. Avery realized that she had fallen in love with him as well, so they decided to start dating for real now. Avery moved into Damien’s apartment on the Upper East Side, and started working towards building a new life with the man she loved. Soon after Avery moved in, she started trying to get Damien to get her movie roles since according to her acting and lying are the only good thing she is good at. Sometimes she feels guilty for using Damien to get what she wants, but she quickly forgets about it when she remembers all the things she has gone through. She is content with her life with Damien, but the thing is, that in the state New York is right now, she is afraid her past will come haunt her and ruin her happiness.
