You can ship JJ with whoever you want but I will not accept Will LaMontagne slander. I’ve said it before and I will say it again, he was a perfect husband all throughout his and JJ’s marriage.
He moved from New Orleans where his family’s legacy lay to be with JJ in D.C. He accepted all of the late nights with grace and he never once held it against JJ when she had to leave all of a sudden to go on a case. He bandaged her up and comforted her when she got back and supported the fact that she wanted to carry on working at the BAU despite the danger it posed to her.
He also accepted JJ’s work family as part of his own family. He sat with Rossi in the hospital after the car crash with Mr Scratch. He let Reid be the godfather to both of his sons. He looked after Jack when Hotch got arrested, even staying at Quantico for the entire day to take care of Jack whilst the team were out. He showed up to all of the BAU events and got along with everyone. He was even willing to have his wedding in the back garden of JJ’s colleague, only surrounded by JJ’s other colleagues and no one else.
Marriage is about sacrifices and he was always willing to make them, that man existed for JJ and their sons. You can ship JJ with someone else without lying and saying that he was a bad husband because I would normally never praise a man for simply being a good spouse but he was perfect.

Summary: Spencer breaks down to himself why he’s so angry with only one of the people who sold a lie as the truth for 7 months.
Tags: slight angst, Spencer thoughts, no reader character, a few small swears, spoilers for the Emily/Doyle arc and season 7, episodes 1&2. (I wrote this in 15 minutes because my mind is now stuck on the whole Emily plan).
As always, constructive criticism and thoughts are welcome! Seriously - I am probably one of the only writers on this app that welcome any and all thoughts - please don’t be a dick, but if something bothers you/isn’t in character? You can tell me. I’m writing to get better and welcome other perspectives.
She had known.
More than either of them were saying.
Hotch had said to blame him, that if there were any issues, to direct them to him.
But it didn’t fit.
Spencer had been plucked from MIT by Jason Gideon and given the amazing opportunity to work for the Behavioral Analysis Unit. He wasn’t good at understanding human behavior at first - he was good at the side involving the evidence, the science, the logic. But human behavior took more time to understand- to profile.
Now though, after more than 7 years, he thought he was pretty damn good at understanding people.
Which is how he knew it wasn’t Aaron Hotchner who came up with the plan to fake Emily’s death.
Sure, he knew that Hotch helped with it - that it wouldn’t have happened if he hadn’t agreed. But Hotch…. Hotch valued honesty, loyalty, and trust. He was stoic and didn’t blink. He protected his team, his family, both physically and mentally.
The plan had been almost… devious, deceptive - political. All the things his boss wasn’t.
It relied on the team’s reactions to work - on their mind numbing grief - it relied on secrecy, political maneuvering, and careful wording.
It was her plan.
She had always been good at twisting words in the FBI’s favor. Had always been good at taking a situation and spinning it for the public. It’s why she had been such a good communications liaison- she thought differently than the rest of the team. It was one of the reasons he had admired her so much.
When she came to help them with Emily’s case, he had barely noticed a difference in her. The ten weeks that followed he chalked up any difference to her grieving their friend too. When she came back to the team permanently, he could see a subtle difference though. She was angrier — a little harder. She shifted her focus from the victims and their families to the unsubs. Just like the rest of the team.
He wouldn’t pretend to know what happened at the State Department. How being a communications liaison there had caused this shift. But he knew without a doubt that it wasn’t his Unit Chief that had initially created this plan- this deception.
It was just like Hotch to take the blame, to offer to shoulder everyone’s anger and frustration. To hold on to the guilt so someone else wouldn’t. To try to make everyone else forget that he wasn’t the only one standing in front of the round table when he broke the news.
But Spencer knew.
When Hotch had told him to turn his anger to Hotch himself, he couldn’t force himself to tell his unit chief the whole truth as why he couldn’t. Why it was her that he was so upset with. Why he couldn’t just forgive and forget.
Spencer did tell him part of - he had gone to her for ten agonizing weeks because he had trusted her. Because he had considered her a safe person to show his emotions to.
And it did hurt to be wrong. To have not seen this coming.
But it hurt even more to have been so easily lied to by this person he had thought the world of. To realize that the person he had admired for so long was behind some of the greatest pain he had ever experienced and that they didn’t seem to even respect him enough to let him process everything on his own.
Words had always been hard for him - when they were about his own emotions at least. About how he felt. And the way they were being so easily dismissed - as if he was supposed to forget everything that was said and felt and move on - hurt.
He knew he would have to get over this quickly - for Emily’s sake and for the sake of team dynamics. Logically, he understood — Emily’s safety was the priority. His emotions - the teams emotions- didn’t matter then and they sure as hell didn’t matter now.
And he was beyond thrilled that Emily was alive and well.
But he wasn’t sure how long it would take before he fully trusted either of them again, even if he knew he had to try.
He wasn’t sure he would ever fully open up to her again, not when he now knew the truth.
Because she hadn’t just known.
And that’s the actual part he knows he can’t forget.
Poison Ivy James Wilson- a concept I thought of, one where Wilson has the powers and abilities of DC comics super villainess Poison Ivy and who seduces his targets including House.

yknow a take on morgana pendragon's story i see often is that if merlin had told morgana about his magic in that moment where they were in his chambers alone that she wouldn't have turned to become evil,, i disagree,, i think that morgana as a character would have eventually turned to become evil and bitter even with merlin as a mentor if she'd learned his secret early in season 2.
let's not forget merlin himself is NOT the most stable of mentor options (not that gaius or kilgahrah or ANY of the druids were a great help either) but he didn't know what the fuck he was doing,, just trying his best consulting that outdated spell book and had cryptic messages from a conniving dragon who MIND YOU still wanted morgana dead and was manipulating merlin the whole time and gaius was a traitor to most magic people like,, he literally was pro-gaslight morgana
merlin also loved arthur, however you view that love (romantic, platonic, brotherly, whatever) merlin loved arthur more than he did magic. we see this multiple times with merlin choosing what kept arthur safe and happy over him doing what would be best for the old religion (fuck them too but that's another post),, major example being the episode with the disir where he straight up tells him there is no place for magic in camelot (which is crazy considering he IS magic made flesh but anyways)
morgana HATED. uther, she hated everything about him and for awhile she disgusted that hate as righteous fury, raining down terror and pain onto innocents (even other magic users) and justifying it as payback. she hated arthur as an extension of uther because that's what uther raised them both as (again another post for another time) and tried to kill him without even asking what his stance was on magic (i believe arthur would have immediately done some introspection and realized he was wrong but thats imo)
i think that eventually,, their two stances would have come to blows (merlin's love for arthur above his magic/morgana's hatred for uther above all else) and morgana would still go to immeasurable heights to murder uther once more, merlin would have stopped her (or tried) because he knew the pain it would cause arthur even if he hated uther too, and morgana would've hated merlin for getting in her way,, her anger triumphing her love for arthur (see: s1ep12: to kill the king)
i feel like often times i just see morgana painted as someone who just needed a little love and light,, when in reality she's been heavily abused and pit against arthur since she was like 10/11 (however old she came to Camelot) and is now a grown woman who is realizing she hates her abuser and everything he's done and wants to destroy him and everything he loves !!
likewise merlin was manipulated and gaslit and forced to become a compulsive liar and would've NOT !! been good for morgana and eventually everything would've gone to shit !!
Like seriously. 2 Cleopatra projects. Another Disney live action movie of a beloved princess that didn't need to be remade. One retelling/"reimagining" after the other?! Like..how do they keep getting made?! Despite the fact that they keep losing money??
& look I'm not saying that all remakes have been bad; I've actually enjoyed a couple. You could sometimes see the love of the original in some plus the visuals and fashion are quite lovely. But the original movies are already famous & amazing enough on their own; they don't need a remake.
Meanwhile there are a bunch of lesser known stories and new stories that are gathering dust in a vault. Like. From a business standpoint. Don't these studios want to make money. I'm so confused.

Honestly same for that one episode where the Wesen stole people's youth to make a cream that the obsessive Dr used and sold. The Wesen's name was in Arabic and as a native speaker it was just an ✨ experience ✨ every time the actors pronounced the name.
