WHY IS HE LIKE THIS?! 

Yep, it’s me, I’m still here. Still observing the fandom from afar, still watching Tumblr go down the shitter. Still only piping up when I find something I think it’s imperative to share. (Or when the Betrayal coverage is so distressingly slanted toward Hiddles, come ON people!)

Betrayal had its opening night tonight and at the top of the Broadway World carpet, they pulled Charlie’s wife Samantha Thomas for an interview. Considering how private the two of them are and how Sam clearly prefers to stay behind the scenes, this is a rarity. She seems a teeny bit uncomfortable with the attention but man, does she handle it with intelligence and poise.

OK but we need to talk about Charlie Cox going on Deb’s D&D show, and not only giving his half-elf rogue character Owen Sleater’s Irish accent... but about 3/4 of the way through he goes FULL OWEN SLEATER.

I’m dead.

So.... Bushmaster and Nightshade, huh?

– Digital Spy had major streaming issues with their first camera setup during the Defenders event (were they using the laptop’s webcam?!), so after about 20 mins. they switched cameras.

– Camera #2 appears to have been someone’s phone sitting off to the side - not ideal, that long camera angle is a pain to view on the interwebs but it happens. It’s better than nothing.

– But THEN... after the quiz is over, before they get around to announcing the winners and DURING AN ENTIRE INTERVIEW W/ CHARLIE, the sound goes out. Completely. And they never fixed it. Awesome. 

Well, at the very least we have soundless video footage of Charlie fidgeting with the roll of gaffer tape that was on the table during half of his interview, because of course he did:

B) Eating crisps while staring at Charlie as he reads questions honestly sounds like the best night out.

The Defenders #1 is GREAT. I was a little trepidatious as I wasn’t a huge fan of CWII, but Bendis is really in his element here. Go read. NOW.

Side note: Matt casually kicking the shit out of dudez while having a srs bsns discussion with the team is A++++. (Even if I’m f’ing sick of the black suit and it can go bye-bye now, thx...):
