My good friend Mounir Alanqar @lion-5 has been recovering from surgery while in the midst of a war. Instead of getting the safety and rest he needs to recover well, he instead has had to suffer through frigid temperatures and malnutrition.

The rest of his family is struggling from the hard conditions as well. Mounir's mother has asthma, but due to the lack of medical supplies in Ghazzah, she can't get the medicine she needs. As well as this, Mounir's little sister, Sham, is only 4 years old. Due to the war and lack of food, she isn't able to get the nutrition she needs to grow and stay healthy.

In addition to the scarcity of basic needs like food, warmth, and medicine, Mounir and his family live in fear of attacks from the occupation. Today, there is bombing near them, the sound of it terrifying and unavoidable.

So far, Mounir's family has only reached a small fraction of their final goal. Donations have been extremely slow, and often they will go for days on end without receiving any.
