Heyoo!! I'm Angelina, an aspiring author currently working on a mafia-themed fiction series called the Suit Syndicate Series (thus the title of this post...) A four book (as of my plans right now at least, haha) series filled with drama, danger, secrets, and laughs of course. 💥🖤

As I wrote in a previous post- here's the description of book 1/the series:

-In this world, every deal of cards comes with a price. A world where loyalty is a weapon and betrayal is just a normal Tuesday. Ace Lucente plays this game like his life depends on it - because it does.

This story's a mafia themed book about loyalty, the battle with your own conscience, manipulation, love, and the line drawn between worlds.

There's action, there's shadows, THERE'S DRAMA!

And this is only the beginning.-

First, the Suit Syndicate Series (which is what I post about here like 95-99% of the time) is a historical fiction crime thriller (it has a romantic subplot, and there's also some mystery and dark drama elements).

I also write science fiction in this other novel (and potentially??? series) that I write as a side project called Synthetic Freedom. (I have written an entire draft of this novel before though. The first draft was more fantasical sci-fi, where as this is more like dystopian sci-fi.

I also write fantasy!! It's one of my favorite genres, and I have plans for some fantastical projects for the future.

I've actually already written the epilogue, and I know how the final chapter prior to the epilogue is going to end. I know the major points that will happen leading up to this as well, but some things are left up to the characters and the moment.

Anyways, back to talking about the epilogue. It, as of now, will *not* be the length of a full chapter, probably about 50% to 75% ish of what a full chapter might be. It'll set everything up for book two!

And, I just want to say in advance: prepare yourselves.

The series is called The Suit Syndicate Series.

The main part of the series will consist of four books. Each is named in relation to one of the card suits because I'm a sucker for metaphors :) There will also be (as of right now, this could change.) three side books. I am not sure if these will be novels or novellas, this might change depending the book. One will follow Ace's wife, Naomi in her life when she was growing up, and also some points in the main series from her perspective. Similarly, there will also be a book following Vincent and his rise to who he is in the main series. Finally, there will also be one about Arty! Similarly to the previous two, it will show some of his life growing up and his POV to some things in the main series.

I plan to share more titles of later books as I make more progress on them.

It wasn't really one thing that inspired the series, but more of a *series* of things. (Wow that was a bad pun LOL)

A few years ago I kinda had this idea of a mafia guy in the back of my head that would go on these missions/adventures/whatever and have to battle between his conscience and surrounding expectations. I didn't have a name for him, didn't know much of his story, but over time that changed, and I created this world for this mafia guy. The mafia guy is Ace, and this series is his story!

So, to the second part of your question, it's hard to pick just one favorite character to write, but if I had to choose, I think that these would be my top 5 in no particular order:

Ace (pretty obvious choice, he's the mc lol)

Arty (he has a lot of contrast to other characters and he's such a sweet bean)

Sebastian (he's so fun and sassy I love writing him lmao)

Naomi (she's so gentle and kind and i love her sm)

Vincent (even though he's an awful person, getting into his mind to see how he'd react to situations is so cool)

That's such a tricky question tbh, because I find it changes depending my mood, but here's what I seem to say every time:

The dynamics between certain characters (Like Ace and Vincent, or Naomi and her brothers for example).

All the different worlds that characters come from!

Once I'm done, the goal is to get it published somehow. I'm not dead-set on any particular way, traditional or self or something else.

As for a timeline, I am not sure, and I don't want to make any formal commitment, but I can give you guesses an estimates. The current draft will be done in probably about two months. After that I will write another draft, and that should be done by the end of the year. I will go through and make lots of edits and in the end I am hoping to publish this book in 2027. No promises, and I will make a more formal update when it gets closer, but that's what I'm thinking right now.
