“Why is the Austrian flag ‘red-white-red’?” “- So that they can’t raise it upside-down”.

Last weekend a couple of collegues and myself went to a party which is supposedly the biggest party around Vorarlberg for over 21 years olds, organized every half a year. Things got a little out of control, so when the following day we went for a walk at Bodensee, in Bregenz, I didn't really feel well... But the weather and the scenery was amazing so I shot some pictures, unusually few considering me though. At 4 o'clock I finally decided to get something to eat so I had a coke and an ice cream for breakfast. As you can see from the last picture, I also had a bad hair situation that day and even more pale face then in general, but we still managed to take a fun shot of us trying get over the hangover. Ok, ok, to be honest it was me who suffered the most...
I would say pure countryside... but that wouldn't be so accurate. Why the hell do you need a milkomat where you can find a cow or two at every corner? Just milk them! :D
Up at Nova Stoba, what you can reach with the famous Silvretta Bahn, going up to the most popular ski regions in Montafon... during the winter. But at the end of October the weather still alowed us to enjoy the sun and go hiking, so that is what we did. Really nice hike with an ice cream at the end, perfect day! And we spotted some paragliders on the way.
I really wanna try this sometime, but it is really expensive. For a tandem you pay around 120 Euros here. Have to find something cheaper! :P Or i have to earn more. So many options...
Got a free voucher from a colleague to use the Brandnertal gondolas up the mountain, so last weekend I took the chance to go up there and check out the amazing view, which these pictures unfortunately can't really show. The panorama lift is Brandnertal is amazing, and I just wished I could already go skiing. But the weather is still too hot here, the snow which fell 2 weeks ago is slowly disapperaing even from the peaks. I mean I like that it is sunny, but it would be great to be able to go skiing during the weekends.
3. “What language do you speak?”
OK, that’s a tough one. Technically it’s German. The Germans, though, might disagree. Austrian has staggering number of accents and dialects, some that sound a bit German that make speakers from the beautiful western state of Vorarlberg completely incomprehensible to his fellow countrymen from Vienna...
Oh the language of Vorarlberg... Say what? :D

Oder talán even auf három languages.
Being a Hungarian in a German-English bilingual working environment, I think the less I think is in my mother tongue.
At the weekend we had 20+ degrees, I couldn't sit on my balcony because my head was burning. Today, 3 days later we have a snowstorm and 0 degrees. And I thought the Danish weather was crazy... :D
I certainly do not like the idea of switching from Indian summer right into winter. Or maybe I do? Only if it means we can go skiing soon! :P
Couple of weeks ago when I wisited some dear friends in Münich, Germany I came across the biggest urban surfing spot on the World. Münich is the birthplace of river surfing. As the weather was awesome, a bunch of surfers were riding the wawes so I was able to take some pics. They had a pretty big audience as well.
FYI
6 people can fit into my shower! :P

Michael said that one of his dreams came true with this National Champion title. In Austria there are so many good ski jumpers and when you can be the best of them, it is something unique. The competition was perfect from every aspect. Both the circumstances and behind the sences were sensational in Tschagguns
As I mentioned before, last weekend the Austrian National Ski Jumping Championships normall hill competition was held in Tschagguns at the new complex and our team went out there to have a little fun after the Chef de Mission Seminar for Eyof 2015. I like ski jumping since I was 16 and in general the Austrian team is my favourite (with some exceptions:P) so it was kind of a big deal for me to see them live competing and then I also managed to take some photos with some of them after the championship ended.
Michael Hayböck is the normal hill national champion (on the left) and Andreas Kofler a long time favourite of mine, two time team Olympic Champion and individual Olympic silver medalist (on the right). I also saw Gregor Schlierenzauer who has the most World Cup titles of all time (and he is only 24), but as he is the biggest celebrity of them all, it was impossible to get close to him. Also he kind of disappeard all the time, not like Kofler for example who joined the audience, talked to people, made photos with them etc. He seemed to be a really nice guy, sympathic. I also saw Wolfgang Loitzl, Manuel Fettner, Thomas Diethart and Stefan Kraft.
So all in all it was pretty cool. It's a pity I was really tired after the seminar and after sleeping around 3 hours during the night. Almost our whole Eyof team was there and it was easy to recognise us as we were wearing our team jacket and sunglasses covering the tired (hangover) eyes. :D
