When part of you is happy for summer break, but the other half is sad to leave campus.

It has begun! Construction of Augsburg’s new Hagfors Center for Science, Business, and Religion in under way. The building is scheduled to be ready for classes in January of 2018.

Beez Kneez and Auggies, oh my! A friendly bee from the Beez Kneez Delivery stopped by Augsburg to install bee hives on the roof of Memorial Hall. In addition to helping pollinate the plants and trees around campus, the hives are a way for Augsburg to bolster the declining bee population. Don’t bee worried about getting stung; honey bees aren’t aggressive. Just let them bee, and they’ll buzz off.

Congrats to all of our 2015-2016 graduates. Like this grad from 1990, you done real good! See you at commencement on Saturday.

Great interview about the nature of addiction with Henry Yoon, associate professor of biopsychology at Augsburg College, from the recent edition of the Augsburg Now magazine.

William D. Green, professor of history at Augsburg College, was awarded the prestigious Hognander Minnesota History Award for his book “Degrees of Freedom: The Origins of Civil Rights in Minnesota, 1865-1912″ at the 2016 Minnesota Book Awards. Green traces the post-Civil War struggles for equality in a “progressive” state through the stories of Minnesota’s civil rights pioneers and ordinary citizens. The groundbreaking ceremony for Augsburg’s new Hagfors Center for Science, Business, and Religion on Friday, April 29 is approaching quickly! The building will be a beautiful addition to the neighborhood.

Augsburg’s Center for Global Education and Experience has campuses in Central America, Mexico, and Southern Africa. They also facilitate short-term programs in Nicaragua, Namibia and South Africa, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Cuba, and Costa Rica.

Faculty from eight of our graduate programs and from our Adult Undergraduate program will be at BauHaus Brew Labs in NE Minneapolis Tues, April 12 to share a drink and answer any questions you might have about our graduate degrees or attending classes as a working adult. It promises to be a fun and informative evening!
