I am 31, so older than Gaten also. Don’t let anyone ever make you feel ashamed for being a fan of someone, especially if you know you never cross any boundaries or aren’t parasocial! Celebrities have always had fans of all ages and there is no age limit on being a fangirl. A talented person is a talented person, no matter their age, and that’s just what Gaten is!

I didn’t watch Stranger Things until 2023, so I really didn’t know anything about Gaten until he was an adult, so maybe it’s different for me than some people who watched the show from the beginning (I don’t think it should matter as long they weren’t weird about it, you know?). I’m able to understand he’s a grown adult now who is almost 24 and there’s nothing wrong with thinking he’s attractive. I don’t go around spamming it in his comments or trashing his girlfriend.

Guess what I’m saying is there’s nothing to be ashamed about when it comes to being a fan of Gaten who’s older than him as long as you’re not weird about it and don’t cross the line into being parasocial. Gaten loves his fans of all ages as long as they aren’t creepy and have basic respect for him, so tell people to fuck off. Life is hard and you should be able to find enjoyment where you can!

Like I wouldn’t even call myself a stan of the other cast members, but I still keep track of their new projects because it’s so easy to through online discussions, announcements, etc.

For a fandom that supposedly prides itself on critical thinking and analyzing, they really do not like to do the bare minimum when it comes to research. It’s a bit funny.

Just gotta laugh at those people who aren’t afraid to be so loud and wrong at the same time, Anon. It’s rather embarrassing for them.

It’s mainly Noah fans and Foah shippers who are bitter he hasn’t made any announcements yet or that Finn hasn’t mentioned Noah since ST ended when he has the others.

Gaten’s fanbase is following his musical theatre career more and more nowadays and it’s so exciting! I have such high hopes for what RENT and Octet are going to do for him! I really can’t wait to see where he’s at this time next year!

I’m not stans of any of the others, either, but I do also know some of what they’re doing. I just don’t talk about them unless their stans are being too rabid about Gaten and I have to check them a little bit.
