La línea de abrigos propuestos por Aubone es el resultado de la idea de trabajar sobre el poncho como constante de la cual partir a la hora de diseñar. El propósito es fusionar esta prenda con tipologías y materiales de otros rubros. En ocasiones toma textiles característicos de la Sastrería y en otras de la Ropa deportiva, combinándolos siempre con tejidos artesanales en telar, confeccionados con hilado de pelo de llama en su color natural o teñido con pigmentos extraídos de la naturaleza. Rescatando lo autóctono y desde una estética contemporánea, la diseñadora propone reivindicar esta ancestral técnica de hilado, teñido y tejido, en reconocimiento a su lugar de pertenencia y como una manera de preservar su esencia; reflejando así sus orígenes tradicionales, en conjunto con la construcción de su actual universo. __________________________________________________________________ Aubone’s collection of original overcoats has in the Poncho, the typical woven wrap worn by gauchos and natives of the Pampas and the Andes in Argentina, the starting point for its designs. Aubone proposes to merge the idea of this traditional piece with concepts and materials that are specific to other fields of fashion. The designer uses materials belonging to formal tailoring and others common in sports wear, combining them with loom woven textiles, handcrafted following ancient knowledge and traditions. Raw llama wool is used in its natural colour or dyed with natural pigments. Maria Jose Fernandez Aubone brings back what is true to her culture and uses it from a contemporary aesthetic, reclaiming in this way the ancestral techniques of hand spinning, dying and weaving to preserve its essence. But she does it conscious of her own personal creative universe and thinking of what is relevant today.
