I think Virgil would fit better as a rouge, as sorcerer’s primary stat is charisma which Virgil isn’t very good at meanwhile the rouge’s is dexterity which fits him much better as he’s Thomas’s fight-or-flight reflex. I think that the Inquisitive subclass fits best for him, since it’s his job to point out things that might dangerous and he’s often one of the first to notice something’s wrong; while I’m not too familiar with the subclass, from what I’ve read noticing and seeing things are it’s specialty.
Logan I could see going either way, although with his role as a teacher I’m leaning more towards wizard as they get their magic via studying it. As for his subclass I think either Chronurgy, Graviturgy, or Order of Scribes would fit him fairly well.
Patton fits pretty well as a Cleric considering that he is morality first and foremost. In my opinion the Peace Domain fits him best as it focuses on unity, helping others, and of course peace, and we know those are things that Patton values; especially helping others as seen in SVS Redux.
And for Janus I’m not entirely sure either, but I’m thinking Bard as it revolves around performance which we know Janus is good at even when he’s not pretending to be someone else as seen when he played the part of a lawyer in SVS, and it’s primary stat is charisma and Janus is literally deceit; talking well is kind of his thing. For his subclass he would definitely be Collage of Whispers, and I’m just going to quote the Xanathar’s Guide to Everything to explain why:
“Most folk are happy to welcome a bard into their midst. Bards of the College of Whispers use this to their advantage. They appear to be like any other bard, sharing news, singing songs, and telling tales to the audiences they gather. In truth, the College of Whispers teaches its students that they are wolves among sheep. These bards use their knowledge and magic to uncover secrets and turn them against others through extortion and threats. Many other bards hate the College of Whispers, viewing it as a parasite that uses the bards’ reputation to acquire wealth and power. For this reason, these bards rarely revealtheir true nature unless they must. They typically claim to follow some other college, or keep their true nature secret in order to better infiltrate and exploit royal courts and other settings of power.”
At least to me that is very close what Janus does, albeit with better intentions as he genuinely wants to help Thomas.
