Headcanons:
Atta truly defines what eldest daughter syndrome is. She has always felt the immense pressure of her entire family on her since she was a teenager. The next generation fo Dreyfus kids rested on her shoulders, and she couldn’t let neither her family nor the people of Animania down.
Though her father died when she was young, Atta has always felt a connection to him, through her mother’s stories and photos of him. He was the eldest child of his family, too, and she knew that he had to bring a level of esteem to their family name, just like she did. She wishes he had lived longer so that she could’ve learned more from him, but she’s glad to know that he would be proud of her. At least, that’s what her mother says.
All Atta wants for Dot is to keep them safe and protected. They’re a ray of light and she can’t stand the thought of any sort of harm coming to them. Hopper once threatened them in front of an entire food factory and it was terrifying—the only one to step in was Flik. It was the first time she’d ever really seen him as someone other than some nerd who was insistent on innovating, and Atta’s felt a strange sort of way for him ever since.
She went to college to learn about engineering and how it relates to manufacturing, with another degree in management as well. Amity Park University was the best place to earn an education, and she had the time of her life there. Though Atta studied a lot, she also tried to be more social than she had been in the company, and it helped her blossom out of her shell a bit. She hasn’t really kept most of her friends from college—they’ve grown apart since she’s focused on the business—but Atta cherishes her time there.
Atta never wanted to fire Flik, but she felt like she had to. He was messing up everything and made Hopper angry, so much so that he threatened Dot, who was the one person Atta wouldn’t let a finger touch. She has no idea what he’s up to or where he went to work, but she hopes the best for him, truly. He’s smart, but his talents weren’t suited for her company.
Being engaged is not something that Atta had seen for herself anytime soon, but the opportunity for financial help presented itself, and she couldn’t say no. All she’s ever wanted was the best for her family and the company. That does involve producing an heir to the company, too, which she has been reminded about since she’s gotten older. Kit seems like he’s fallen in love more than she would’ve liked for a future partner, but she doesn’t want to write him off completely.
The whole rebellion thing is terrifying, but Atta has been trying to keep it under wraps as much as she can. She’s really trying to see how the numbers look with his company compared to her own and what she can do to wipe him out. Part of her really wants to reach out to Flik to see if there’s anything he can come up with to further their company under Hopper’s nose, but she’s also scared that it’ll fail and cause for the Board to vote her out as CEO.
