Marie is still haunted by what happened, always watching her back and wondering if it could happen again. What if someone else had the same idea? If Edgar who was so close to the family thought he could kill them off why wouldn't someone else? She's tried her best to move past it and enjoy where they are now but it's always there. At least now she has real passions, things that make Marie happy and full of life. She knows this is where she is meant to be but she just wishes that her family didn't end up here the way they did. They don't always get along but she loves them, more than anything. That's why it's been so difficult to choose herself right now.
Her mother has always been who she looked up to most. Everything about Duchess was perfect and pristine, at least Marie thought so. She was a little rougher around the edges since childhood but tried her best to fit the mold of her mother.
Some nights she gets paranoid and can't sleep, afraid that Edgar is back or someone else had the same idea he did. She struggles with sleep more often than not. Now that's when she studies her lines for whatever acting gig she booked.
She loves cats and cannot wait to get one for herself. Once she finds the courage to move out on her own it would be the first thing she did. Something about having that company would help her not miss her brothers so much, or that's what she hopes.
It's been hard for her to watch Berlioz. She isn't blind to what's been going on but struggles to know how to help him. All she wants is him to find happiness and it not be through the methods he's currently using to numb himself.
She's thought about drug use, in fact she picked up the nasty habit of smoking while on set. Lots of the crew would all go on smoke breaks together and eventually Marie caved in to try it herself. That lead to smoking weed which she does to help her sleep some nights. Otherwise, she refuses to ever try more than that in the fear it would ruin all she's built for herself.
After Toulouse left was when she started thinking about her own time to go. She misses him a lot, actually. He was her best friend, though she would never tell him that. It's been strange without him, the house just hasn't felt the same to her.
