“The park is my favourite place to do homework,” Dinah agreed. “We’re reading Chaucer in class at the moment, and I need to pick something to write about. But I don’t know what. There are just so many options.”

“Canterbury tales and the likes, right?”, Atta asked with a nod. “Okay, how about this. You tell me options of things you want to write about and then you choose the one that gets you more excited?”

“i’m starting t-to worry because the amount of times that i say f-fight me in a day has increased significantly and my scrapping skills are little to none.” 

“Is there a way that you could get self defense classes or something? What is it that they say? If you talk the talk, you have to walk the walk”. 

“Wow, that’s a question”, Atta laid back on her seat and sighed. “Like Miranda Priestly, scary and you still admire them. I get that you have to be commanding when you’re a leader, but sometimes it’s too much and it does wonders to my stress. And you know what else? I was expecting an inspiring speech or something, is it bad that I want someone like Michael Scott or Leslie Knoppe? I don’t know, maybe I’m the only one who sees it...”

“That’s easy!“, Atta exclaimed excited with a clap, like she was an answer away to winning trivia night. “I actually have two least favorite people, Mr. Hopper because I just know there’s something shady about him, why would you blow off so many meetings with City Hall? And Flynn because he... how can you steal from someone? Sure, I didn’t notice it like days after but... and he’s so full of himself!”, she rolled her eyes and shook her head. “Favorite people? Obviously my sister Dot, even though we don’t see eye to eye these days. And Lilo? Yeah, I like that kid, she’s fun!”.

“In what way?“, Atta looked at the liquid swirl in the glass. “If you’re asking who I dislike, that list is very short. But if you ask me who I like...”, she chuckled as she took a sip, trying not to make a face at how strong the liquor was. “That’s a short list too! Matthew is nice, I don’t know if he sees it but he’s good to look at and god, he works his ass off, that’s... yeah. Also Tress, she just commands a room and her confidence is... wow, you know? I’m pretty sure she knows she's GORGEOUS. And Remy... we didn’t talk much but...”, she sighed with a giggle.

“You should see the Jake movie, it’s pretty funny and corny. Or at least the parts I remember are, I have no idea who the rest of the cast is”, she wasn’t really sure if there was an actual movie or she had made it up, it seemed so surreal. “Yeah, hopefully it’s just fiction”.

“My usual self?” he frowned. Hopper grabbed the tissue, blowing his nose with loudly, extending it towards her again. “Nothing came out. Allergies just make my nose tickle.” Winter was the time of hot drinks and hoodies, something he liked to use to hide from people. “The heat is unbearable, at least with the cold i can do something about it.”

“You know... fearless”, the word she had in mind was grumpy, but this was a better option. Part of her did believe that he was worried about his leg but their last exchange didn’t feel completely genuine. “You can keep that, even if nothing came out”. She scrunched her nose and nodded, “well, you can do something about the heat too. There are cold desserts or air conditioning”.
