Everything feels very strange. 

One minute, you're being sucked into somewhere with a force that seems to squeeze the sentience out of you. You seem to remember a lifetime spent in that void, a cloud of almost-thoughts that suggest to you that perhaps you'd been there forever.

The next, you're expanding, growing ever larger until you suddenly find yourself blinking. Actually, physically blinking. It feels strange and unfamiliar, but your gaze automatically focuses and you look into the face of your prince. 

Oh. True Love's Kiss.

You sit up groggily, supported by your prince, and the dwarves crowd around you and hurriedly explain that they'd found you collapsed on the floor with a cursed Apple iPhone in your hand and luckily enough, they somehow had the idea to look through your phone and find your minimal, but still present, conversation with your prince. They called him over immediately and he revived you with True Love's Kiss.

And here you are now, laughing with your dwarf family and having the love of your life by your side. 

"And what of the Evil Queen?" You eventually ask when the relief dies down a little. You're still worried for your life, and rightfully so.

The prince declares that his kingdom is an ally of yours, that the war your father is fighting in is almost over. First, you will travel swiftly to his kingdom and together, you will take down the Evil Queen.

The Evil Queen isn't gone yet, but she is one step closer to being so. You're safe for now, backed by a powerful force led by your One True Love, and once your little birds hear about the acts of treason committed towards you by the Evil Queen, winning this battle will be a piece of cake. 

FIVE MONTHS LATER, THE PRINCE IS MARRYING A MYSTERIOUS BRIDE. THE EVIL QUEEN IS INVITED AND SHE ACCEPTS THE INVITATION TO THE WEDDING. ALAS FOR HER, IT IS YOUR WEDDING - THE WEDDING OF THE PRINCESS SHE THOUGHT SHE HAD TRAPPED FOREVER. AS PUNISHMENT, SHE IS SENTENCED TO WEAR BURNING HOT IRON SHOES AND DANCE UNTIL SHE DROPS DEAD.

THE EVIL QUEEN IS FINALLY GONE. YOU ARE UNITED WITH YOUR PRINCE AND BEGIN A NEW CHAPTER OF YOUR LIFE THAT CAN FINALLY BE LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER.

You don't know how long it's been.

You feel weightless, drifting, ethereal even. You feel barely conscious, like you're functioning but not awake. Any attempt to even try to fully process a thought ends in the thought escaping you, ephemeral. 

You feel as though you've been trying to think for days, or months, or years, and you're striving ever closer towards... sentience, maybe? 

The infinite space around you is dark but flashes of light and colour dart past you. Sometimes you can make out a word, or a picture. Sometimes you hear voices or laughter or the faint strains of music. You're getting better at noticing things every day - or every... however time is measured here.

You've been beginning to be able to see everything. You can interrupt the flowing light, push pictures around, take a phrase and place it elsewhere in the space. 

You think you know where you are. You're beginning to realise what you can do now. And you think you're getting more and more powerful with each passing moment. It all depends on you to take action now.

THE DWARVES FOUND YOU, COLLAPSED AND UNBREATHING IN THEIR HOME, UNABLE TO WAKE YOU AND UNABLE TO REVIVE YOU WITH TRUE LOVE'S KISS.

YOU ARE TRAPPED WITHIN THE DIGITAL DIMENSION OF MIRROR.

BAD ENDING... OR IS IT?

It’s been a week since you’ve been trapped inside the house, unable to move for fear of being caught by the Evil Queen. You’re not unused to captivity and general isolation by any means, but this time you can’t even take your mind off the loneliness by social networking because any suspicious activity might be detected. 

You can't stop thinking about your prince and regretting not staying in contact. He wouldn't be able to find you now even if he wanted to, not now that you are hiding indoors and fearing for your life.

Today, you’re already done with the cleaning and meal preparation. It’s not difficult to keep the place clean when it seems to be all you can do. The dwarves are out at work and you don’t even have your little birds to talk to. 

You hum to yourself, leaning your cheek onto your hand as you stare wistfully out of the window. Even if you have nothing else right now, you still have song, right? 

Suddenly, a face pops up into the window from and you scream, leaping backwards in fright. 

Recovering, but with your heart still beating frantically from the shock, you approach the window only to see a little girl standing there, looking quite lost and confused. 

"Hello there," you say kindly. "How are you doing today?"

"E-excuse me, miss," she stammers shyly. "My father finally worked up enough money to get me one of these today but I’m afraid I have no idea how to make it work and I was wondering if you could help?"

The little girl holds out a gadget you recognise as being an Apple iPhone 5C. 

Having dealt with Apple products in the past, you take the gadget from her and show her how to press the button to turn it on. 

Suddenly, you feel faint and the world spins and darkens as you feel a strange twisting feeling as though you’re being sucked into a vacuum.

You return home, lighthearted and blushing, but your mood immediately sobers as the minute you open the door, the dwarves come rushing at you and shoving their phones in your face. 

Your heart sinks.

Blaring from their screens are photos of you, taken while out gathering berries. The Original Poster doesn’t mean anything harmful by it; in fact the photos are accompanied by excited captions, thrilled to see you alive. They don’t realise that the Evil Queen has her beady gaze on every action made on mirror.

You know that the berry field is far away enough from the dwarves’ house that you’d probably have ample warning to escape before the Evil Queen comes to hunt you down, but the fact that she now knows that you’re alive puts a threat on the entire household.

Additionally, you have no idea where else to find your, and the dwarves’, favourite berries.

The dwarves kindly advise you to stay inside the house at all times. They’ve gotten their own food before your arrival and they can continue to provide for you; all that matters is your safety.

Well, the searches didn't come up with anything shady, right? Deciding you can trust the prince, you give him your number  but you save it under a pseudonym just in case. 

He kisses your hand in farewell. "Until we meet again, Snow."

You blush prettily and leave reluctantly, too preoccupied with your own thoughts to hear a soft click of a shutter from somewhere around you as you head back home.

"I'm sorry," you say. "I really need to go."

He nods reluctantly and kisses your hand in farewell. "Then we'll have to rely on Lady Fate to reunite us," he says poetically. "Until we meet again."

You blush prettily and leave, too preoccupied with your own thoughts to hear a soft click of a shutter from somewhere around you as you head back home.

You decide to trust the words alone of this man and follow him. 

As the two of you board a carriage to wherever, he tells you that the two of you can escape to a realm far away from here to keep you safe and you blush and fantasise about beautiful, peaceful landscapes and a lifetime spent with the prince of your dreams.

With this in mind, the rhythmic movement of the carriage lulls you into a deep sleep.

You are rudely awoken by being tossed unceremoniously onto a cold, stone floor in a dark cell that you suddenly, with a pang of dread, deduce to be the dungeons in your very own castle.

You hear the laughter of the Evil Queen and your prince as she hands him a large sum of gold and thanks him for his service to the kingdom. It turns out that the prince knew who you were all along and decided to sell you to the Evil Queen for money and to improve foreign diplomatic relations in order prove himself to his father. 

You squeeze your eyes shut as the heeled footsteps of the Evil Queen approach you ominously. 

YOU DIE!

BAD ENDING

…A tall, attractive man in somewhat military style clothing. He seems almost identical to the fictional romantic heroes of your dreams. 

Call it instinct or call it insanity, you immediately know that he is the one for you. 

You greet him shyly and he introduces himself as a prince from a foreign kingdom who is taking a break from his travels in these woods. 

Despite knowing that he is probably your One True Love, you run a number of surreptitious background checks on your phone about this prince and his credentials and trustworthiness. Luckily, everything seems to be genuine and the only slightly worrying press about the prince is that he once ran away from home for a while to be a pirate.

Somehow, the two of you end up talking for the whole day and you only realise this when the sun has almost completely set. By then, you have warmed up significantly to each other, but you know you need to be getting back home as the dwarves will be home from work soon. 

"I must go," you say, gathering your baskets of berries. 

"Wait." He stops you as you’re about to leave. "Don’t you have a phone or anything so we can keep in contact?" 

You hesitate, wondering whether or not it would be dangerous to swap contact information with this guy. 

"I mean, no pressure!" He quickly adds, looking adorably flustered. "I understand if it's dangerous."

CHOOSE:

A. You give him your contact details but make sure he saves your name under an alias.

"Why don't you come with me, then? I'll keep you safe."

You’ve been living quite a peaceful life with your new dwarf friends, knowing you’re quite safe in hiding now that the Evil Queen thinks you’re dead. The dwarves have been tracking trends on Mirror to check up on the Queen. You cook and clean and sing for them and they’ve taught you how to go out to gather and scavenge for food. You've become somewhat of a family - it's the first time you've properly had one and you can't believe how lovely it is.

Despite having no phone and considering how much you relied on digital technologies before now, you're doing surprisingly well without one. All your little birds are distraught at your sudden disappearance, thinking you'd been disposed of. You want to comfort them and let them know that you're alright, but obviously that would be a ridiculous thing to do.

Throughout all of this, however, the romantic part of you can’t help but entertain fantasies of being swept up by a charming prince. 

One day, you’re out picking fresh berries in the woods when you suddenly hear a rustling from behind you. 

You immediately panic and turn around, only to be faced with…

One day, you're out picking fresh berries in the woods when you suddenly hear a rustling from behind you. 

You immediately panic and turn around, only to be faced with...

You knock on the door and decide to be polite, tired as you are.

A group of dwarves answer the door and you blink down at them and smile. 

"You’re at our home," says one of them, as if you didn’t already know. 

You nod apologetically. “See, here’s the thing. My name is -“

"Oh, we know who you are, Snow White," another one says. "We live in the woods, sure, but we do have internet access, you know." 

You explain the entire situation to them and they sigh and decide to take you in because they are fans of you on Mirror. And you can help them cook and clean.

You're so polite and lovely that the leader of the dwarves steps up right before you're about to go to bed. 

"Hey, we have this spare phone. You said you had to get rid of your old one, right? Here, have this one; the Evil Queen shouldn't be able to trace it to you. Just try not to post anything on Mirror, alright?" 

You take the phone gratefully before drifting off to sleep.

You barge right in and collapse from exhaustion. 

The next morning, you wake up to find seven dwarves staring down at you. 

"You're in our home," says one of them. 

"Oh, I'm so sorry!" You reply. "But here's the thing. My name is -"

"We know who you are," says another dwarf. "We may live in the woods, but we do have internet access, you know." 

After you explain your case, the dwarves decide to take you in because they are fans of you on Mirror. And you can help them cook and clean.

You knock on the door and decide to be polite, tired as you are.

Just as you're going to pass out in bed from exhaustion, one of the dwarves yelps.

"Hey Snow, did you turn off your phone?! The Queen might be tracking you."

Oh my goodness! You can't believe you almost forgot to turn your phone off! You do so hurriedly and give it to the dwarves to completely reconfigure for you before falling asleep.
