We’d just returned from a very long day of shopping for outfits for the weekend ahead. It was Sizzle Weekend in Miami and I had let my best friend talk me into flying down here for the event. Brian and I had been friends for the better part of 10 years, we were inseparable. There wasn’t much [besides have sex] that we didn’t do together. We’d graduated from Georgia Tech 3 years ago, with a Bachelors’ in Business. I started an interior design business a year before I met Terrance [my ex} and now it’s starting to do well financially. Terrance and I had broken up after almost 2 years of dating. It started going downhill when he wanted us to move in with each other. I didn’t want that at that point so things got bad between us very quickly. For the last 7 months, I was in a slump over the breakup and then Brian showed up to my house and convinced me to fly with him to Miami, I reluctantly agreed and now we’re here.

“What you think about these jeans with this shirt?” He asked while putting the outfit together.

I looked up from reading a message on my phone and said “I like it not my style, but I like it. I think it will look cute on you.”

“Ok well I’ma try on these jeans and see if they fit you know certain jeans don’t fit right and make my ass look small as hell.”

We laughed and he stepped into the dressing room to try on the jeans. He was right he did have a lot of ass and it set up real nice on its own so imagine it in the right pair of jeans. He had been in the dressing room for about 10 minutes when he finally stepped out.

“What you think?” He said walking in front of me looking in the mirror.

I don’t know why but when I saw him in those jeans and how it formed around his plump ass I started getting hard. I’ve never looked at Brian in this manner before now.

“I like them they are cute on you actually.” I smiled while trying not to let him see my boner.

“I know right……. Ok I’m getting them.” He walked back to the dressing room to change back into his clothes so we could leave the store.

I yelled out to him “Hurry up so I can go get some shoes!”

“Ok damn Jacob I’m trying to hurry up punk ass.” He let out a laugh and so did I.

I couldn’t get that image of his ass out my head, I guess 7 months without sex would have a person thinking some of the craziest thoughts at times. Every time that image popped up in my head, my dick would get stiff. As the time went by I managed to get thru it without making it obvious that I was stiff and thankfully he didn’t notice it either, that would have make it very uncomfortable between us. I didn’t even notice when he walked up to me after he finished paying for his things.

“Jacob………. JACOB!” He called out louder snapping me out my thoughts.

“Yea ……  I’m sorry what did you say?”

“Damn where yo head at?” He smirked. “I bet its Terrance ain’t it?

“Um no.” I blurted out.

“Mmmm hmmmmm I bet.”

“Fuck off Brian you jerk.” I laughed.

We spent nearly 3 hours in the mall shopping for things to wear and me listening to him admire every cute boy that we passed. When we finally got back to our hotel I was exhausted. It wasn’t because of the shopping; it was because I had spent most of that time with the image of Brian’s ass in my head and about the breakup between Terrance and I.

“Hey Brian.” I called out.

“Yeah what’s up?”

“I’m about to go get some rest for tonight. I know it’s going to be a long night and plus I’m drained from the day.”

“I guess with yo tired ass.” He laughed.

“Go to hell tramp.” I said as I was headed to my conjuring room.

“You better not be in there crying about Terrance punk ass either.”

I didn’t reply to him I just closed my door and plopped down on my bed. As I laid there, sleep was out of the equation, from the image of Brian’s ass to Terrance I couldn’t get to sleep. I picked up my phone and thought about texting Terrance but then thought against it even quicker. I slowly began to fall asleep to get ready for the long weekend ahead.

I was so glad to be home after the weekend get away with Brian. It was time to get back to reality, which was running my business and trying to pick up the pieces of my life. I’ve been avoiding Brian and Terrance since returning and spending more at work than at home. I’d met with my last client for the day before leaving my office, and decided to stop at the store to pick up a few things for dinner tonight, while in the meat section I picked up some steak, shrimp, and chicken breast. As I stood there trying to decide on what else I wanted I heard a man’s voice come up behind me, a voice that I’m very familiar with.

“Hey Jake.”

“Hi Terrance.” I said without turning around.

“So you not going to turn around to see me? Damn you must be really mad at me huh?” He asked as he put his hand on my shoulder. I really missed that dudes touch, it seemed like he knew just how to touch me. I pulled away while still having my back turn to him, I slowly turned around to face him. I can’t believe he still look as good as ever.

“What can I help you with Terrance, you stalking me or something?” I frowned “You know I can’t stand yo black ass right about now.” I stared into his hazel eyes and almost choked up.

“Damn Jake, why you gotta be like that, I was hoping that we could talk. I know you been igging the hell out of me.” He said sounding so sure so I admitted.

“Yea I have because I have nothing to say to you at all.”

“Look bae I …………”

“Boy bye I’m not yo fucking bae so you can kill that shit now.”

“Ok Jake ok …………but I was kind of hoping that we could talk about everything now since we here because who knows when I will ever get this chance again.”

He was right, I never planned on seeing, let alone talking to his ass again after today. So, I decided to entertain him for a while and get some clarity on things between us. “Ok fine I will entertain you for a little bit because I’m curious about what you possibly have to say to me………. But not in here, I have a few more things to pick up so I will meet you outside by my car when I finish up in here.”

He smiled “Ok cool.” He looked down in my buggy. “So what’s for dinner tonight?”

I looked at him crazy because I knew what he was getting at. He’d told me on many occasions how much he loved my cooking. “Probably steak and shrimp pasta, why? you not invited so it shouldn’t matter anyway.”

“Damn why you gotta be so salty and nasty to me……… I was just asking what you cooking bae………… I mean Jake.”

What the fuck he just said to me? Did he really just say that shit to me? I could’ve slapped hell out him at that moment. “What the hell you expect after the shit you said to me? The Terrance I knew and loved would have never said the things you said or disrespected me the way you did cut the bullshit and stop fucking with me before things get real ugly in here Terrance.” I had to catch myself because I was getting pissed and emotional all at the same time.

“Ok ok ok no need to be all riled up Jake. We can talk outside when you’re done ok. You still have the same car? The BMW?”

“Yea I do……. See you there.” I walked away before he could say anything else to piss me off. I picked up the rest of the things I needed before heading to the counter, when my phone started ringing.

“Hey Jacob.”

“Hey Brian what’s up?”

“Where the hell you been? I haven’t heard from you since we got back.”

“I’ve been a lil busy with my business making a living nigga.”

“Mmmmm so I wanted to tell you about the dude I met in Miami.”

“I can’t right now I’m getting groceries and going outside to meet……… A buddy so I will call you later on ok?”

“A buddy? Who is this buddy?”

“Why you all up in my business?” I asked while putting my things on the counter.

“Really Jacob?” He paused. “Oh now I see……… A buddy name Terrance huh? Damn Jacob really?”

I didn’t answer him right away “Brian do I say anything about all yo lil hoes you be running around with? No I don’t……Terrance and I was together for almost two years so I can at least hear what he has to say…………”

“He left you in a fucking slump and said all kinds of shit to you and you still wanna talk to his punk ass after all that? Wow! Oh and FYI I’m not fucking anybody so for you to say I have hoes and shit is really wrong Jacob DEAD WRONG.”

“Am I with you day in and day out?  I don’t know who you fucking or not fucking, I just said what I said because of all the different niggas you talking to.” I slide my card to pay for my things, what I said must have upset him because he hung up in my face. Out of 10 years of friendship we just had the biggest fight we’d ever had. I gathered my thoughts, grabbed my things, and walked out the store to meet Terrance by my car. When I stepped out the store I saw him standing by his car that he moved over where mine was parked. I wanted to just run into his arms and sob, but that shit wasn’t going to happen at all.

“It sure took you long enough.” He said as I approached him. He then paused and looked at me “Uh oh what happened now?”

“Nothing.” I hit the startup button on my key ring and then opened the trunk.

“You know I know when you lying Jake.” He stepped towards me and started getting my bags and put them in the trunk. “So tell me what’s wrong. “

“I had a fight with Brian.” I finally admitted.

“Why?”

I stood there after closing my trunk “Because of you Terrance.”

“Me?” He asked in shock.

“Yea he told me that I was basically stupid for talking to you.”

He shook his head “Damn I’m sorry boo.”

I put my hand up “Terrance.”

“Ok ok Jake.”

“Look can we stop with all the small talk and you tell me what you wanna talk to me about so I can get home.”

“Sure……… I know I fucked up and I’m sorry, I am truly truly sorry Shawty.”

“That’s it?”

“I know you don’t wanna hear what I have to say but I’m going to say it anyway…………. We been thru some crazy shit together and things turnt bad so quick for us, I began to fall real hard for you and I didn’t know how to handle it. I never had those feelings for any one at all, I mean you have to understand that you were my first boyfriend so that whole thing was new to me.”

“I know that Terrance but the things………………”

“Hold up Shawty let me finish I promise I won’t keep you very much longer…………… I said those things to push you away because of those feelings, I never meant any of it. I never meant to hurt you or disrespect you in that way and I’m truly sorry you have to believe me Jake.”

I stood there and tried to process what he had just said to me. I must admit seeing the sincerity in his eyes and in his tone, was really about to make me melt. He really never showed his vulnerable side to often so it was pretty refreshing to see it. The shit intrigued me to the max but I wasn’t about to give in I couldn’t.

“Ok Terrance…………… I guess I can forgive you…………… but that don’t mean anything is going to change between us. I don’t think things will ever be the same especially since Brian hates you and he probably hates me now as well.”

“I know Shawty………… but can you do me a favor though?”

“You not getting none Terrance.”

He laughed “Nah it ain’t nothing like that…………… although that ass is sitting right in them jeans though damn.” He said licking his lips.

“Boy stop.”

“Ok can you at least think about it and promise to talk to me more?”

“I will think about it but I can’t promise you that I will talk to you more but I will think about it ok?”

“Aight I can respect that Shawty.”

“Ok well I gotta go.” I hit the unlock button and walked towards the door.

“Damn no hug or nothing?” He joked.

I stood by my car door and looked back at him “I’m not waiting all day.”

He walked over to me and put his arms around me, I hugged him back and took in his scent and realized he was wearing the cologne I bought him for his birthday last year, it was Nautica Blue. We hugged for a few minutes and I started to get hard. When he kissed my neck I almost went into ecstasy, damn he still had that effect on me. I stepped away from him, he opened my car door and I stepped in.

“I guess I will talk to you whenever you decide to call me.”

“I’ma call you Terrance just give me some time to think about it ok?” I looked at him and he seemed to be ok with that.

“Ok Jake talk to you soon.” He walked over to his car and got in.

I closed my car door and drove off thinking about what he had told me the whole ride home which was an hour drive from where I worked. When I pulled into my driveway I was shocked to see Brian’s car parked there. I open the garage door on the opposite side and drove in, I turned my car off and popped the trunk. I stepped out the car and walked to the trunk, as I was getting the bags out the trunk Brian got out his car, locked it and walked towards me. “Look I’m not in the mood for your shit right now Brian.” I finished getting the bags out and closed the trunk.

“Really Jacob? You’re not going to hear what I have to say?”

“I don’t feel like fighting with you right now.”

“We not fighting……not yet at least but we will see on how this goes when I see what this meeting was about you had.”

“I’m not talking about that with you Brian so just drop it please.” I went and closed the garage door and started getting dinner ready.

“Why not Jacob………… did he break your heart again huh?”

I didn’t answer him; he went over to my bar and poured himself a drink. I ignored him and kept preparing my dinner. “Why are you here Brian? To drink all my liquor and get on my last nerve about Terrance and your hate for him?”

“Um maybe, maybe not on the liquor but as far as Terrance goes yes I wanna talk to you about Terrance…… the asshole.”

I looked at him and burst out into laughter causing him to laugh. Once we regained our composure, I fixed us dinner and we talked about what Terrance and I talked about earlier and he left it alone for the time being. We went into the den to have drinks and watch tv, I’m glad nothing ugly went down between Brian and I. little did I know… things were about to take a very interesting turn.

Brian and I sat in my den drinking, laughing and talking for the longest after dinner. Although I was enjoying the time with Brian, I was still thinking about the things Terrance and I spoke about earlier in the day. I couldn’t believe he had allowed himself to be that vulnerable with me after all that time of us knowing each other. Maybe he really was sorry for cussing me out and talking to me the way he did. Terrance had told me that I wasn’t shit because I didn’t want to live with him. He then said I didn’t want to live with him because I wanted to bring all kind of random niggas in and out my house behind his back and become a hoe. Even though all the other things hurt but that hurt the most because he knew that I wasn’t that kind of person. He knows for a fact that I love my privacy and being a hoe meant a lot of dudes would know where I live, and that is not what I was willing to put myself through. Hell, it took almost 2 months of us dating before he came to my house, but still I couldn’t get that out my head.

“Jacob?”

“Yeah what’s up?”

Brian took a sip from his drink, “So did you really enjoy our lil vacation to Miami?”

“Hmmm for the most part I did.” I paused and took a drink from my glass “It was fun and eventful.”

“I was just asking because the last night at the club you didn’t seem like yourself, it was like you didn’t want to be there and was ready to go.”

“What makes you say that? I was good.”

“Ummm no you weren’t, you were turning down all those fine ass dudes coming up to you, and you weren’t even drinking a lot.”

“Well you had all that covered for me don’t you think?” I said while laughing.

“What the hell that supposed to mean Jacob?”

“You had all the boys up on you, so it was no need for me to talk to any of them. Plus, you were drinking enough for the both of us.”

“Shut up bastard.” He got up to fix us another drink. Our time in Miami really was a very fun time, in between him flirting with all the boys we really had a lot of fun. I would gladly go again with him, I mean what are best friends for right? “Jacob, I can’t believe you let me get that dunk out in public, like we were still in our freshmen year in college.”

“What was I supposed to do Brian? You snapped on me when I told you that was enough, so I let you enjoy your time.”

“No, I didn’t……… did I?”

“Yes, you did, and you walked off and started twerking on everybody including me.”

“Oh my God, I can’t believe that” He lowered his head and had a look of embarrassment on his face as if he was just caught on a Girls Gone Wild film.

“It’s ok B I know you were having a good time.”

“Too good of a time, we haven’t had that much fun in so long.”

“I know that both of our businesses are doing good and we live on opposite sides of town from each other and……………”

“And you being head over heels for Terrance.”

“Brian hush, but yea we have to make more time for each other.”

He nodded and agreed, then we went back to drinking and watching tv. “Jake, we gotta go do some shopping.” He blurted out after a period of silence.

“Shopping? Didn’t we do enough of that in Miami?”

“Not clothes shopping, furniture shopping for bedroom sets for our empty rooms in our homes. It’s a shame we been in our homes for nearly a year without getting guest beds and shit.”

“I don’t need to go shopping for that, I already have them on order they will be here this week, but I can go with you to get you some though.”

“That’s the least you can do, ugh you get on my nerves Jacob.” He laughed and so did I.

It became pretty late in the night and we were still up drinking and talking. The last thing I wanted to do was get drunk, because I had an early meeting in the morning. I need to be focused because it was a very important meeting with a potential client. Even though I was having fun laughing and talking with Brian. I was still thinking of Terrance also, I knew I had to make a decision about it and make one quick.

“Jacob, I know I give you hell about Terrance. I just don’t want to see you hurt no more.”

“I know Brian, but you have to let me make that decision to pursue things about it or not.”

“And I will I promise but I just hate the way that shit went down between yall the way it did. I know he regrets it, but you still should be careful. What I didn’t know about him is the things you told me he spoke to you about earlier today, but I still wanna talk to him about it but that will be determined on the outcome of your decision.”

“Ok I will most definitely let you know once I make one.”

“Ok…………. So now it makes sense.”

“What does?”

“I see why you didn’t want to hook up with nobody in Miami.”

“Yea I guess I wasn’t ready for all that yet.” I got up to fix us another drink, while in the kitchen I thought about another thing that happened in Miami. I fixed the drinks and headed back into the den. “Brian, I wanted to ask you about the boy you were talking to in the parking lot………… he was cute.”

“Oh Chile……… how about he got arrested the day we left.”

“What for?”

“Rape and First-Degree Robbery.”

“Damn I’m glad you didn’t fool around with him that could’ve been you he done that to.”

“I know right, that would have just turned my whole life upside down huh.”

“Ummm hell yeah.”

“That’s what I wanted to talk to you about earlier when you were out with yo lil boyfriend.” He said, and I playfully shoved him.

“Wow you never know these days that’s why you can’t trust people” He was looking a lil buzzed from drinking.

“I knew you was a lightweight the night in the club and you was twerking on me and half the club.” I started laughing.

“I bet yo nasty ass got off on it too huh?”

Damn how did he sense that, I really did I must have jacked off about 3 times that night. “Umm no why would I do that? We are friends, best friends so that would be kinda weird”

“Yea right, I know you be looking at my booty at times.” He said that so surely and he was completely right, I did look at his booty from time to time.

“Oh, I could Jacob………. If I tell you at least one time, then you have to admit it and stop lying to me.”

“Okay.”

“Well the last time I noticed you looking was when we were in Miami and I was trying on those jeans. I saw you looking while I was in the mirror and you were looking and licking your lips.”

Damn he saw me and didn’t say anything about it until now “Ok ok I did look……….

“Stared not look?”

“Ok stared you happy.” I laughed nervously “I have had an occasional look a time or two, but you can’t blame me. You have a fat ass, plus it doesn’t make it no better that I was a bottom with Terrance after being vers…………… so yea I looked at your ass.”

“Wait Terrance never let you top him when yall was together?”

“We talked about it but no it never happened.”

“Wow so you been backed up huh.” He thought that was just the funniest thing, but I didn’t think it was, so I didn’t partake in the laughter.

“Yea I guess I am Brian.”

Why was I having this conversation with him, and why am I not in a hurry to put a stop to it. This was just crazy as hell, I hated that I admitted all that to him, but it was too late to take it back now. Although we were just talking, I knew there was nothing that could come from that right? At least that’s what I thought at the moment. I was good just talking about it and admitting that to him as long as he didn’t keep asking me questions about it. I soon found out that wasn’t going to happen no time soon.

“So, when you were staring at my ass……. Were you trying to hide a hard on also?”

Damn he couldn’t just leave well enough, alone could he? “Probably or Probably not who’s to say?” I laughed “Yea I was but I don’t know why because that never happened before.”

We sat in silence for a little while before I got up to go and put the food away and finish cleaning up the kitchen. After I did that I fixed another drink and went upstairs to get my clothes out for the next day. I also pulled out some night clothes to put on after my bath. I kinda figured Brian would end up spending the night after he had so many drinks. I mean what kind of friend would I be if I let him drive home drunk? I finished getting things prepared then went back downstairs to the den. I couldn’t believe what I saw when I walked back into the room.

“Oh, you came back downstairs?” He was sitting on my couch with nothing but his underwear on and I almost lost my mind, but I kept it together.

“What the hell?”

“What? This is how I sleep now it’s so much more comfortable like this.” He smirked. “You should try it sometime.”

“So, you couldn’t wait until I was sleep or in my room to be damn near naked?”

“Why we both grown and plus I thought you were done for the night when you didn’t come right back from upstairs.”

“Umm no I went to go get my clothes out for the meeting with Estelle tomorrow.”

“Oh, ok well I’m about to shower in the other bathroom and get ready for bed.”

“Ok do you have any clothes to put on afterwards?”

“You know how we do it we keep clothes in the car.” He laughed.

“Ok well goodnight buddy.” I went back upstairs and prepared to take a bath. I turned the water on in the tub and put some bubble bath in it also. I didn’t realize just how long I was soaking in the tub until I noticed the clock on the wall said 2am. I got out the tub and dried off, I then put on my American Eagle Low Rise boxer briefs. I lotioned down my body and took a few selfies before I finished getting dressed for bed. I then walked into my room and pulled my covers back. I got in bed and turned on the tv, I grabbed my phone and sent Terrance a text saying I wanted to meet with him later on in the week to give him my decision about us. After we finished setting up our meeting I put the phone on the nightstand and laid down. I didn’t hear the other shower running no more, so I figured Brian was either done or sleep by now. That’s when I heard a knock on my bedroom door. “Yea come in.” He walked in as my back was turned towards the door never looking up.

“I ran out of lotion do you have any? Or some baby oil?”

“Yea look under the sink in the bathroom it should be both under there.” He walked into the bathroom and that’s when I noticed him. He was wearing some real short and fitted boxer briefs that curved his ass so good. “Damn.” I tried to whisper hoping he didn’t hear me, but he did.

“You must like what you see huh?” I didn’t respond to him because I did like them. He stood in the mirror putting the baby oil on his body and I was fighting yet another boner. “So, I was thinking that I can accompany you to your meeting tomorrow and then we can go shop for my bedroom set and extra furniture I want.”

“Ok that’s fine but don’t fuck this up Brian. It’s a really important meeting and it can really put my business on the map, so I need this badly.”

“Yea I bet but I’m serious Brian.” He stepped out of the bathroom and looked at me.

“I said ok Jacob…………… you need to relax, I know you got this one in the bag. You are the best interior designer in the city nobody is better than you at it.”

“Well aren’t you very optimistic, that vodka must really have you feeling some type of way, but thank you though.”

“it’s doing something to me.” He smirked.

“Yea it always does put me in a better place whenever I drink some.” I told him as he began to climb up on my bed with a very seductive look in his eyes.

“Well since we both feeling some type of way…………” He was slowly moving towards me. “That we both can help each other out with our lil issue.”

“What?” I said in a very shocking voice, not believing what was going on at that point. I mean he never made a move on me and neither did I. He made his way up to me snatching the covers of me.

“You heard me clear, I think it’s time to give you what you been looking at and you can give me what I’ve been missing the last 4 months and get rid of this sexual tension between us.” He laid on top of me, I wanted to put up a fight, but my hormones got the best of me. The next day we went to my meeting that was scheduled with Estelle. I nailed it and got her to sign the contract just as Brian had predicted. After the meeting, I left my office for the day with Brian to go furniture shopping. He ordered his bedroom suit and I picked out a few more things for my house. I called Terrance and asked him could we push up the lunch date for today, he agreed and met us at a local restaurant for a late lunch. I thought Brian would throw a fit, but he was surprisingly accepting of the idea. After he and Terrance talked and expressed how they felt about the situation I decided to give Terrance another chance at our relationship. He was more than happy when I told him that he could even move in with me. Everyone was happy, Brian got his best friend back {and some good dick}, Terrance got his boyfriend back, and I had them both back in my life, so things couldn’t be any better. I was glad about what happened between Brian and I, it was a life changing experience for the both of us. He finally found someone who makes him happy and was making plans on living with him.
